Q: Where are drained sauce, oil, fat, etc goes?

The grill plate has holes in it that drains into a drip pan. The part you grill on is to separate pieces.

Q: This is only for outdoor use?

Advertised as both indoor and outdoor.

Q: Is this compatible with any type of butane cans?

I don't think so. We simply got a six-pack of the small butane cans typically used for these kind of tabletop grills at a local Asian market. They were very reasonable in price.

Q: Does it come with a butane canister to start?

No. And I'm glad they don't otherwise alot of people wouldn't be able to buy them due to shipping restrictions. But you can pick them up at most stores.
