Beautifully designed guided journal helps fathers record their life story, experiences, and wisdom. A precious keepsake to pass down to future generations. Review: A gift with genuine long-term value. - Tell Me Your Life Story, Dad is one of those gifts that feels thoughtful and lasting - not something that gets opened, smiled at, and quietly forgotten. The strength of this book is its structure. With over 200 guided prompts organised around different life stages, it makes the idea of “telling your life story” feel manageable rather than overwhelming. The questions strike a good balance between reflective and practical - covering childhood, family, work, values, life lessons, and personal memories — without feeling intrusive or awkward. The design is clean, elegant, and gift-worthy. At 7 x 10 inches, it’s a comfortable size to write in, and the layout gives enough space to answer properly without feeling cramped. You can tell it’s been designed to be filled out over time, not rushed in a weekend. What really stands out is the emotional value. Once completed, this becomes far more than a journal - it’s a personal record of a father’s experiences, wisdom, and perspective that can be passed down and revisited for generations. It’s especially powerful for families who want to preserve stories that might otherwise never be written down. This works well for all kinds of fathers and family setups, and it doesn’t assume a “perfect” life - just a real one. Available in both hardcover and paperback, it also feels appropriately premium for a milestone gift. Best for: • Father’s Day, birthdays, or milestone occasions • Adult children wanting a meaningful, non-generic gift • Families who value stories, reflection, and legacy A beautifully designed, thoughtfully structured journal that helps dads capture their life in their own words. A gift with genuine long-term value. Review: Lovely, tear-jerking book - I bought this as a gift for my father-in-law who struggles to express his emotions verbally. He has so many life stories so we thought it would be nice to eternalise them. I ordered the hardback which feels like it's of good quality which is important when you want to have it for a keepsake. The book is beautiully done and is very well structured so you don't have to think too much about what to write, just follow the prompts. There's plenty of space to write the answers and the questions are fun, thought-provoking and varied. The book is a bit Americanised but still suitable for the UK. My only negative would be I'd say it's a little too high a price for what it is, but I would still recommend the book.

A must for passing on family history
This “Tell Me Your Life Story, Dad” book is a wonderful and meaningful purchase. The prompts are well thought out and make it easy for dads to share memories, experiences, and life lessons that might otherwise never be written down. It’s a great way to preserve family history and create something truly special to pass down. The book itself is nicely made and simple to use, making it perfect as a gift for Father’s Day, birthdays, or just because. I’m really glad I bought this and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sentimental and lasting gift.

Great sentimental value
I don't always leave reviews but this boom is actually decent . I've since ordered others (mum, grandma etc) makes a great present for a loved one ! And it's more a long term investment for me, I'm looking forward to reading back in 20years time from now for example. I'd say can get the book for yourself to hand down to children to read when they get older or as a gift. It just prompts questions you would love tomknow the awnsers but don't think to ask them questions. All in all good book

We tried for years to get our now 90+ dad to write down his stories. But where to start? This book asks questions from the basic to the profound. They trigger long forgotten memories and make for an enriching time when done together in interview format. We began with some random easy ones: I asked, he answered, I wrote down his responses. It was a lot of fun. The time whizzed by. I see many more sessions ahead. Recommend.

This is a very comprehensive list of questions that your parent might get a bit sick of after a while! But it’s a great place to start documenting wonderful facts and memories about your parent. You can pick and choose what is most suitable and it prompts other stories and experiences which is a beautiful experience to share. Very happy with it.

I bought both this sage green PERFECT paperback; short, easy but thought provoking questioning journal for my father - and the matching blush pink journal for my mother. Both received 24 hours after ordering; good packaging. They are beautiful with a well bound spine. My dad is 82 and my mom is 80. I'm the sole surviving daughter at 59 years old. So I will treasure these books as my mom has dementia. Then will my 34-year-old daughter, whom I'll give it to in time, and she'll give it to their great-granddaughter, my 4-year-old granddaughter later. The questions are a lifetime of a wide array of easy to understand topics (good, esp with cognitive decline or memory loss). I'm thankful for the arrival on time for Christmas. May my parents be with me through the holiday. I'll treasure these. They're excellent paperback material; both in a beautiful mat finished color. My fathers is sage green (not boring brown or gray), and my mother's is the blush/mauve. I bought paperbacks yet thought I would prefer the hardcover BUT due to the mat cover material and large size, it gives an elegant and a more expensive look to the book. 200 questions are sufficient, if not too many for their ages. But thankful for that many questions. Lined paper for answers allows for a clean reply per page and makes it easy for the challenge of cognitive decline. It'll be a very sweet keepsake. At 59 with arthritis, I took a closed pen, acted like I was writing on it, opened the books wide at spine and it didn't collapse on my hands as "too heavy or difficult to see paperback" so it won't be too hard for the elderly. I know both my parents, particularly my father, will really enjoy writing out answers, taking a stroll down memory lane; which in itself is therapeutic for those who have dementia/alzheimer's, or cognitive/memory care issues. I STRONGLY suggest this book for parents of all ages, but esp senior or the elderly for Christmas, or any occasion! It will be a keepsake and a family heirloom for sure. Writing answers is exercise, especially with arthritic fingers and mind, brain, memory deficits; makes it an excellent idea! I'm extremely happy! You won't be dissatisfied. I wouldn't mind buying one for myself to leave to my loved ones. 💕 UDATE: My Dad loved his book and he's looking forward to filling it out and set himself on Christmas Day that he appreciated the leading questions. My mother has moderate to severe dementia and it did scare her, afraid she would not be able to recall but those leading questions again helped. And her caregiver and I can help her to answer, again the lined pages helps especially if she's losing her ability to write as easily and pretty as she once did. Please, be sure to get this for a loved one so they're life and legacy can live on in their own special story. 💞
