Sacred Plant Initiations: Communicating with Plants for Healing and Higher Consciousness

This is a great book and I'm so happy to have it. I would feel bad giving any less than five stars because I'm thankful for Carole's work. But, as a novice spiritual initiate, I wish this book contained a little more guidance on connecting with plants, and on how to actually diet w/them. There's a lot of great knowledge, but I'm still feeling lost with where to begin - maybe because I live in a tropical climate and all of these plant are suited for temperate Ireland/Europe/Americas. I also have never had experience with some of the techniques used to make the elixirs, like fermenting, so I'm weary about drinking my own concoctions - but I guess this is part of learning. Again, though, this book is a wonderful introduction into this practice/lifestyle.

Beautiful book, from the rich black and white illustrations to the recipes on plant elixirs. There is so much more here than initiations, a wealth of knowledge about nature's cycles, how plants connect us to those cycles and pull us into a better way of living consciously. Plenty of history on plants as well, which enriches the text even further. My only wish is that I knew people that would want to do plant initiations, or lived closer to a place that hosted initiations. Overall, I am very pleased with this book and the way it pulls so many subjects together for a spiritual seeker.

I loved the information on the spirituality of plants and seasonally, when to eat/use them.

I’ve had this book for over a month and I’m having great difficulty getting through the first chapter. The material is incredibly dry and not engaging at all. There are better books out there that cover plant dietas. Wouldn’t recommend.

I would go to any of her weekend workshops to experience the flower elixirs and have an in depth meeting of the plants. I am greatful she has shared her gift that the flowers have given her.

I have not finished the book yet, but oh, this is such a treasure....each page simply radiates wisdom, compassion, timeless knowledge. I'm taking my time with this book because I want to savor it.

Great book and a good introduction to the subject. The kindle version of this book, which I bought, has some issues with layout and there appears to be at least one page missing as seen in the attached image; the text just ends mid-sentence.
