The best heating pad for neck or back.
This is an amazing heating pad, I definitely recommend it, it's a great size and the controls are super easy to use, very nice design, my man uses this ALL the time since he has back issues and he will just sit on it for hours, so it's very comfortable, it works great, very durable, even though he has been using it non stop since we got it, no smell and i think its a great value for the money, i like the blue/gray color and you can use this on your back, neck, its a bit tough to wrap around body parts like ankles/arms but can work around that.

Large pad and can shut off in 15 minutes or not, you decide with the control buttons.
This heating pad is large enough to heat up my spine. The controls are made to have an auto shut off after 15 minutes or continue. This really helps the process of treatment. Great price. The cover is washable and very soft. Love this item!!

Great pad and great customer service
I find this pad to be a higher quality than others I have purchased in the past — it is soft and the heat is consistent. 5 stars is also for the customer service. The pad stopped heating and displayed an error code near the end of its 5-year warranty. The company responded very quickly in sending out a replacement.

Works great!
This heating pad is great! Timer is helpful at turning pad off after 2 hours. Only annoying thing is, a red light flashes after it auto turns off, I suppose as a signal to let the user know it auto shut off. But it works great, it is soft, color is fine, packaged well, easy to use. Bought one for my daughter a few years ago, that one is still going strong (durable), so we got another one for me! Good value for the money.

Can't say enough good things about it, beyond my expectations, love it, love it!
2nd purchase of this item - don't remember how long ago I purchased my first - been too long ago. Always performed beautifully. I sleep with it on my bad knees nightly. Appreciate all the heat setting and timer options. Great value, my "original" one held up very well, soft and comfortable.

Doesn’t stay hot
Update: company reached out to correct the problem! Excellent customer service.Cons: buttons are really loud which is annoying when I turn it on at night and it wakes up the baby. It heats up really hot really fast, but within minutes delivers mediocre warmth which is incredibly annoying when I want and need that intense heat to soothe aching and sore muscles.Pro: cord is long, automatic shutoff is good feature.I wouldn’t purchase this again, the heat just isn’t at the temperature I want for the length of time I need, even at the highest temperature setting.

Am I being punked??? Where's the heat at?
I'm confused about this after reading all the great reviews. Something happened to my old heating pad which was about the same size. I'm assuming it started to malfunction from overuse as the little circular plastic bubble on the cover looked like it was melting away. My fiance tried to convince me I was going to burn the house down if I didn't stop using it. I told him my back was going to give out and melt into a pile of jelly on the floor if I DID stop using it.I suffer from chronic lower back and spine problems, along with neck problems from a brain malformation and aches and swelling from rheumatoid arthritis. And now with having to lug around a 2 month old 10 pound baby all day every day (because he has colic and this is the only way to soothe him) is wreaking havoc on my already battered muscles and degenerated disks. My back is often so weak that I do feel it might give out and collapse. Heating pads, tens units, large doses of Advil and my miracle pepper cream Capzasin-HPhelp in combination with each other. But heat is a HUGE part of the temporary relief for me.So I was excited when I saw PureRelief XL on Amazon with mostly raving reviews. I was also into the idea of moist heat, something I hadn't tried before. I told my fiance if he bought this for me ASAP that I'd hold off on burning the house down with my defective heating pad. We ordered this one with next day delivery.Straight out of the package it loos very nice. It is reasonably large. The cover is soft and comfortable and I love the color... just sayin'. The controls have numeric settings that go up to six. Due to my pain levels, I bypassed numbers 1-5 and went straight to the highest setting. I was hoping maybe this one would go to 8 but 6 was the limit. I had my fiance massage my back and apply my capcasin cream and then I eagerly awaited the results everyone was raving about in their reviews.I started to think something was wrong with me when I didn't feel the pad heating up. I mean, there was some degree of heat - but the temperature wasn't much hotter than if I ran my hand under a luke-warm faucet. I played with the settings and shut the unit on and off repeatedly. I plugged it into a different outlet and then I called my man upstairs to make sure I hadn't lost sensation in my back and simply couldn't feel the heat anymore. He confirmed that this indeed was not a very powerful heating pad. I showed him the reviews and he said that everyone's tolerance is different and maybe it truly does work for some people - and that maybe us naysayers might be desensitized. He's a carpenter and always has an overworked back and neck so I let him try it. He uses the heating pad occasionally at home - but no Advil or topical creams and he was less than impressed and also did not believe this heating pad lived up to the hype or the claim.I was thinking maybe I got a defective one but then I read some negative reviews where some customers thought the same thing and had replacements sent only to be met with the same disappointing results. Since it says no returns (which I did NOT see when I purchased this) I am going to contact the company and politely ask for a refund. In the meantime, I have since moved on to Thermophore MaxHeat Deep-Heat Therapy Pad - which is the heating pad of my dreams (at least so far). It's definitely for that breed of us that requires more intensely penetrating heat. The only heating pad I've ever used in my life (except the one about to catch fire after 4 years of use and abuse) that actually got TOO hot (a high quality problem!) It's not as soft and cozy as the PureRelief XL but most of the time we just can't have everything. If the company refuses to refund me, my fur baby has expressed interest in it as another doggie bed. Seriously, the material is that nice. Trust me, she's ridiculously fastidious when it comes to finding a comfortable place to park it.In summary: I would recommend this pad only to people who have low to moderate levels of DISCOMFORT and not actual pain. I'd also recommend it to people who don't actually like heat...
