Bob the Builder: The Golden Hammer--The Movie

Collects six separate stories (they’re most likely six separate television episodes) that come together to tell one overarching narrative. I’d hesitate to call it a movie, but it’s definitely one continuous arc. Scrambler and Spud hunt for pirate treasure in the background of each episode, while Bob and his crew take center stage to do their usual routine. Overall, it’s not Bob’s most exciting series of stories, but it should delight young Bob enthusiasts. I would recommend this to parents.

A great little kids movie with pirates and a special golden hammer. And like all Bon the Builder movies it demonstrates conflicting emotions of the characters and how to deal with letting others know how you feel. This short movie has adventure and ultimately sharing a prized item. Not a film made to entertain adults, only kids. My kids from ages 5-8 loved it.

My 3yr old son loved watching this. For me it was a miserable dragging torture of repetitive scenarios. It made me have a better appreciation for why most episodes are 11 minutes long. On a positive note he has only made me watch it one more time since the initial viewing.

"The Best Bob the Builder Ever" High praise from my four-year-old! He loves Bob in general, but this one stands above the others. I've watched it enough to have memorized every line, and while I certainly understand I'm not the target audience, the little guys IS, and he thinks its his favorite... for Five Stars it is. =]

My son says, "Really good, my favorite part is when Spud finds the first red box. And then they figure out there is no golden hammer in the red box and they have to keep looking." My son watches this over and over, one of his favorite Bob movies.

What a thrill packed ride!! From the start, the story gets rolling on an unstoppable adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A must watch.... And don't get caught off gaurd by the plot twist at the end.

I’m writing the review from an adult perspective, so the kids would have probably given it at least a four. To me the plot was weak, and the characters not too engaging. The kids had fun watching it though, but it’s not one of the ones they ask to rewatch much, if any.

It was bought for my grandson. He loves it and watches everyday. It came in great condition and was a great surprise for a little boy who was sick and needed to have something great to watch while in bed.
