CAMERON STANTON- you naughty naughty boy.
I want to start this review by stating that I read this book for the first time, about two years ago! However, since then I have re-read it approximately 23,298 times. No lie. BECAUSE it is like my girl TL Swan, perfectly crafted Cameron Stanton.. my dream book boyfriend. I CALL DIBS!Ok but on a serious note, In true TL fashion, Mrs. Swan thinks of the most fun and twisty story lines and AWAYS writes the dreamiest of male characters (you can trust me, I’ve read every one of her books)! In this book, our female lead character Ashley is strong, fun and independent- one of my top favorite female characters. Ashley knows her worth, she gets things done and she has strength that is admirable! The chemistry written between these two main characters is a 5/5 for me, but what I loved even more than the spice (whoever would have thought) , was the epic banter between these two characters. If you’re looking for a fun, flirty and sexy read with an exciting plot. Please read this! And if you obsess over my book boyfriend Cam, like me… check out the Stanton Amore series featuring Cam’s brother Joshua, which actually is set before Dr. Stanton takes place, for some fun Cameron cameos.

Cameron and Ashley
I honestly never expected for Cameron to ever settle down. I felt like he was stuck in his playboy Era for good. Ashley couldn't have been a better partner for him, their chemistry is insane. I love how they connected through different languages it made their connection even more special. Then you add Ashley's secret, my heart broke for her so many times and it proves she's one hell of a strong woman. Cameron has a lot of growing up to do and it showed how immature he is. I really enjoyed this book a lot.

If you like type A personalities and want the people to change, this story is for you. Circumstances change things . Omissions also play a part. Will past familial interactions interfere? Read and find out.

The perfect pair! The perfect spin-off to Stanton series
The perfect pair! The perfect spin-off to Stanton series. This highly anticipated book did NOT disappoint! Like all of Swan's books, you'll get a rainbow of emotions with this read. Storytelling skills are always on point and writing is very well done, even for the toughest critics.I enjoy a mouth dropping bombshell and you'll get several with this book. I loved it! From the very first chapter I was hooked. Whenever I find a book that is great from the first chapter I know it's gonna be a good one. The 2 main characters of this book are 2 peas in a pod, they push each other's buttons like crazy. The chemistry is hot, the sex even HOTTER!! He is a typical guy at times and she is a strong willed superwoman. You'll be dragged through the mud with this one. I wanted and did curse at my kindle like a sailor. 24 hours after finishing this book I still have my emotions running high. Swan's books are NOT forgettable they are addictive! Once you start reading her books you'll become a junkie just like me! I received an ARC of this book because when given the chance I jumped on it!Now, for some things I loved and some things I didn't care for without spoilers!Loved:The pace of the book. Never a dull moment! The chemistry. You could feel how intense their interaction is. If you like true, real deal match making, you'll love this story. They are truly perfect for each other. Swan wrote them so they were equals. Even though at times it seemed as one had more power over the other, it's just not true in this book. I found that they owed each other rather than one having more power. This book isn't about dominating because they are both strong characters. Which I also love. I hate push over characters.Surprises. I love twists, turns and even cliffhangers. Don't worry this book doesn't have a cliffhanger. But it does have great surprises and moments that are so angsty you'll be like a crazy person reading under the covers while biting your nails waiting to see what happens. You'll want to high five someone when things happen so make sure you read this book with a friend. You'll want to talk about every chapter in detail. This doctor is HOT!This book didn't effect the main series or more books to follow. So you really could read this one and then hop back to the Stanton series. But I highly recommend you read the first books first because it will make you fall in love with Cameron more so. You'll see his character develop more maturely if you read the others first. Plus those are amazing!Con (for me):This book takes place between 2 doctors, but we didn't get much of their occupation. I was a little disappointed in this. Ashely, the main character and a doctor in training was never called a doctor. She is a strong woman and I would have liked her smarts to come out more at work and not just between her and Cameron.Somewhere in the middle:Now, if the author does a good job, you feel everything. The good, the bad and the ugly. The author knows them inside out. So being a reader, you create this fantasy of how you perceive a character and it's not exactly as the author does. Swan has written things in previous books that gutted me but I understand why she did it. Still amazing books by the way. In this particular book, somewhere around the midpoint, I started hating a character I never thought I could. I was so angry at one point I thought, that's it, the story will never be the same now. It will never be what I wanted it to be because this thing happened. I actually stayed mad almost till the end of the book. But THEN, the brilliance that is TL Swan happens and she somehow weaves her craft and fixes it. It's not perfect but it became very real. Both parties in the book had to admit defeat in order to try and fix it. Ugh, just thinking about it makes me crazy lol! This was a grand-slam home run ending! If she had changed one sentence, one sequence of events it would not have ended as it did. Very well thought out ending. I loved this book as well as its characters.

Cam and Ashley bring the spice!
This book was hot, hot, hot! Dr. Stanton is your usual alphahole. He's a billionaire, brilliant, and very sure of himself. Ashley is the sweetest and not a shrinking violet. She has been supermom and super med student. She can do it all, especially with the support of her best friend. There's one point where I really hated Cameron Stanton, but this author has a way of working things out just right. There are some other books associated with this one because Cameron has brothers. I def need to do a deep dive into this family soon. Can TL Swan write a bad book?! I think not! 4 stars and super spicy!

Dr Love....The doctor is calling you!
Buy this book! Seriously, forget about ordering your next skinny caramel latte, use your pennies wisely and treat yourself to some Dr Love instead! This book has everything; love, anger, disappointment, bad decisions and plenty of wow moments. It is a standalone within a series and you don't have to have read the others before this to be able to follow it fully. What can I say about Cameron Stanton? He's sexy, stubborn, focused, fiery, with a heart of gold and a loyalty many would admire and I LOVE him greatly. Now, for Ashley Tucker, I can imagine her as one of my friends. She can also be stubborn and feisty but my goodness she would do anything for the people she loves. She hasn't had it easy and it's made her tough, but only on the exterior. Inside she is a rabbit caught in the headlights. She's fun, she's loveable and relatable. I'm not going to divulge any of the story but I want you to know that this read will take you on a journey, one that will stay with you long after you have finished. There are several times you won't believe what you're reading and several times you will swoon and you won't be able to leave these characters. Even when I wasn't reading I was thinking about them; at work, watching the TV, cooking the dinner. I was thinking about them like they were real! It doesn't help that TL is the master of chapter cliffhangers!! Although I mentioned cliffhangers, there isn't one at the end of this, it's all tied up nicely. Happy reading, go on, you know you want to!!

Whilst on a bachelorette party in Vegas, Ashley Taylor keeps getting harassed by a drunk stranger, so she grabs the first gush she finds and tells the drunk man that he’s her husband. Only when she looks up at the guy she now named her husband, all she sees is tall, dark and handsome. They have an instant connection from the moment they like eyes and he has his mind set on scoring this 10 out of 10. And trust me, he gets everything he wants. There night ends up being so incredible that he gets her number so that they can see each other again because they just can’t seem to let the other go. But before he can even text her to find out her name, he loses his phone and most importantly; his mystery girls number.5 years later, Ashley moves from new York to Los Angeles with her 4 year old, Owen, to be an intern for a cardiologist named Dr Stanton. With her son and best friend settled into there new home and a job that pays for everything they need, she turns up for her first day, of her last intern year. But who shows up to be her new boss? Mr Vegas, the guy that never called.▪️▪️▪️▪️As soon as they meet they have and instant connection but they don’t recognise that yet. Cameron is the definition of a man in this especially the when their in Vegas because he has a one track mind and all he wants to do is get her back to his hotel room. I love how consumed they are in each other on that one night, they don’t even tell each other there names! When they meet 5 years later, they recognise each other immediately proving the connection between them. It’s like the world is trying to keep them apart but they always find a way back to one another. Owen is the cutest thing ever and you can definitely tell who his dad is because they are so similar.⭐️⭐️⭐️

AMAZING, LOVED IT
okay, so i know what i need to do now - go to vegas and grab an attractive (doctor) guy that walks past to save me from a creep and pretend he’s my husband. gotcha! must be where i’ve been going wrong in my love life so far🥲 all jokes aside i …. this book. @nix and @alit has raved sooo much about tl swan books i just had to see for myself what all the hype was about! dr stanton is australian😮💨🤤 first page and he’s got me already. we love a cocky, confident, intelligent, sexy man😮💨 cameron stanton, you scored a million in my book for swoon😍 i fell for him so hard and so quickly, this man just knowsssss🔥 i also very quickly fell out of love with him and hated him😠😠 ash is right, cam is a pig (sometimes)🙄 we love a strangers, to lovers, to work colleagues, to lovers, to enemies, to lovers trope😂 could cut the sexual tension between ash and cam with a knife🌶🌶🌶 i’ve never loved and hated a fictional man so much in my entire life!! this was the first book by tl swan that i’ve read and it’s definitely not the last, can’t wait to read her other books🤩 that ending was so cute, off to read the epilogue ASAP I.e right now.

Good but...
I enjoyed it but found that they (the brothers) blew it incredibly out of proportion. Didn’t particularly like the Dr after that just seemed unredeemable.*SPOILER*There were many things that led to her being called a bad mother that were incredibly unrealistic and highly unlikely for it to happen. Granted this is fiction but this was an exaggeration. Also feel like maybe the overdose could have been explored more by either one of them, to find out what really happened. Seems again unlikely that he would one day just wake up and believe her. Also the ending was completely unnecessary.

Really liked this
Another good one from T L Swan. I really enjoyed her Miles Brothers series, and if you like them you'll like this.I couldn't put this down, it made me cry and was full of angst, and just kept on hotting you with stuff. I know that's what you're getting with these and I know the male character is going to be completely overbearing and that's kind of what it is - in the real world I'd run a mile! Because I know what I'm getting I'm willing to accept it as is, but, it did feel like he actually went to far in this book and what happened was unforgivable. I felt the same way in The Stopover and The Cassanova, but still liked the books, so cognitive dissonance for the win!If you like the overbearing man, high angst love story then this is for you, if you don't then you'll hate it.
