Gripping storylines
This is the type of book that I really like to read it has strong characters, gripping story line, but the characters still have hidden secrets. Having read the other books in the series so far I was eager to read this one and was not disappointed.

Five Stars without question!
This is the fifth book in this brilliant series which is best read in sequence to get the best understanding of all the characters. It is the story of Merc & Amana which weaves through the realms gradually revealing more of their past & the reasons for their current situations.Having read all five books I don't know how Danielle keeps the momentum going with constant new twists, characters & teasers for future books. I do know that I can't wait to read more about other Guild members & more of the new people in this book.I loved Merc & his connection to the spell book, I also loved the way that Amana got to grips with her power. At the very beginning there were so many new people I thought it would be confusing but this is so well written that I soon became comfortable with the story & was soon absorbed into the book. The final chapters has so much happening that my reading speed increased dramatically & I couldn't move until I had finished. I went back the next day to re-read the final chapters just to ensure I hadn't missed anything especially as there are always teasers for later books.Another winner for Danielle & now I will be waiting for book six!

Another good book
I read all three of her books within one week, so I do really enjoy the series. They are very fast paced with enough creavitity that you aren't able to predict most of the plot twists (which I see coming a mile away in other romances). I also like her heroines as well because they tend to use their brains instead of being expected to do the killing and chaos stuff (although they can if need be). The plot is slightly connected to the two previous books, but you could easily read it without having read the others ( I do recommend reading those first because that is where this world is explained). My favorite part of the books though is the world she has created and the quirky, yet intense minor characters.. I am sucker for a book with strong female leads.. I can tell the author puts a lot of effort into giving each character her own personality. I had a couple complaints despite my enjoyment. I was surprised that some of the questions from the last books were still left hanging; I am afraid I will forget the details before I read the next installment and am frustrated that I am still a little confused about who some of the one timers are ( a lot of big bads who show up super briefly). Hint: I think I need a glossary soon so I keep all this straight in my head.I also felt like the relationship between the two characters needed to be a little slower in terms of them starting to trust each other; one minute they didn't... and the next they did; compared to her first book where the relationship was a little slower and I was more invested in the characters finally giving into their need and attraction for one another.. this time it seemed like they just gave into desire instead of slowly falling for each other.I also miss the connection to "reality" that was in the first book. It seemed like earth in the first book, but the last book or so, it seems like it is only taking places in the magic realm ..I think that makes it harder to connect to the characters. Also, I didn't like the really detailed sex scenes.. I prefer a more romance and less porn in my romance novel (the whole point of romance is to imagine what happens.. ). I do love the characters who move from book to book and the fact that so far, her villians are different from book to book so you don't get the repeat effect of a character fighting the same fight over and over.

Great read! Complex and Imaginative
The story starts off with Armana and Merc meeting in a dream. There is attraction at first sight and they enjoy each others company with little inhibition because they are in, after all, a dream world. Surprisingly Armana meets Merc a second time, which is unusual from her one-time encounter only. Things get a bit heated, but stops before moving to the final act. Big bummer. In the real world, Armana and Merc (to be put mildly for Merc) are cautious people. Armana has been hurt in the past and it feels like she is been hunted, and Merc is a very well known and powerful mercenary, a profession where you survive by being paranoid. Meeting in a dream helped building their attraction and this will be particularly helpful for Armana at their third encounter because things are about to get complicated.Armana has been trying to free her baby brother from the prison for an act that he hasn't committed and time is of essence because sooner or later his brother will loose his mind (he is a berserker and they don't do well imprisoned). Come Fallon and Laire offering an attempt to free her brother in exchange for the use of her power. She must go into the dreamland to retrieve a book. Walk in, walk out, easy breeze. Or so it supposed to be. Guess who is guarding this book. Of course it is the Man of her dreams.Heartbroken, she accepts the job, encounters Merc a third time in dreamland, tries to enjoy as much as possible her last moments with him while undertaking the deception, and successfully retrieve this book. Now this book, The Spellbook, is hotly coveted. Merc needs it back badly; not only his reputation is at stake, but his life depends on it. So, livid about the deception, he tracks Amana to the cafe seconds before the exchange takes place, kidnaps her and retrieves the book. Oh, and an epic battle ensures between Merc and Fallon. Here we get a glimpse of his power.**SPOILER ALERT**From here on, Merc and Amana are on the run until the very end of the book. Things get pretty grim. Fallon is pulling her connections left and right to have the book returned. And yes, Rein is one of the said connections. Merc has a deadline and condition to meet or he forfeits his life and said condition/person is missing. Breaking Amana's brother out of the prison seems an impossible feast. Beside his longtime friend Nemesis, everyone and everything seems to be working against our duo.At 1/10th into the story, I was worried the 'Dream Crafter' is not at par with the 'Stone Guardian.' One reason is that the dialogues felt off, possibly because the story begins right in the middle of the action. We know little of our h and H, making it hard to understand their behaviours. This is especially the case with Amana. She is a puzzle I can't solve and would have loved more details about her past. Second reason is Fallon. My guess is that D. is trying to portray her ruthless side. She comes off as the bad guy throughout the story and redeems herself at the very end. However, don't let this discourage you from reading the book. I am extremely glad to have soldiered on (mind you it was no hardship) because the second part of the story is fast-paced, full of interesting bits and mind-blowing. D's strength in storytelling is definitively the complexity of her world and her imagination. There are new characters and information about the working of her world at every turn. I find it particularly sweet that Lair has an admirer that she is extremely wary of. I can't wait to see more interactions between Rein and Fallon, and what's the story behind Fallon and her powers. And I cannot believe I did not mention this first, the physical intimacy between Merc and Amana is hot. I particularly love it when authors make it realistic (It's a nice break from well endorsed Hs).

Great edition that appeals to both UF and PNR fans
This is the third full length book in Danielle's Entwined Realm series. (The book numbering series is throwing me off - Amazon has this has 5 and GR as 2). In publishing order is Stone Guardian,The Cage King and then this book. Anyway, this book could be read as a stand alone but the world building is really explained in the first book so I recommend reading at least that one before this one. I really enjoyed Stone Guardian but wasn't as crazy about Cage King so I wasn't sure what to think about this one. I'm so glad that I read this book - I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished it very quickly. This book ceners around Amana and Merc. They are both after a powerful spell book. Merc, who is a mercenary has been tasked by Hadrien to deliver the book and somehow he was able to place a bind on Merc so that if he doesn't deliver the book into his hands he will have to face the consequences. Amana is after the book for a very different reason. Amana has the power to enter dreams and not only control them but to bring objects out of a dream into her physical world. The Guild knows what she is and is blackmailing her to get the book in return for freeing her brother from prison. Amana has been hiding her ability her entire life and doesn't like to use it but her brother is her whole world and she will do anything to free him. This is a fast paced book with a sweet romance between the two characters. As with all of Danielle's heroines Amana is a very strong woman. She uses her wits and intellect to handle most situations but can also take care of herself. The H/h have somewhat of an instant connection and the romance is sweet and fun (although I wish it would have been drawn out a bit more before they trusted each other so quickly).I like the world that Danielle has created and I'm intrigued by the overall story arc although I wish that we had more information about the different factions and what they want to achieve. My biggest issue which takes this book from 5 stars to 4 stars is that I am having a hard time keeping all the characters straight in my head. (I NEED A GLOSSARY OF WHO IS WHO). Part of this I think is because the books had quite a long time in between and part is that a lot of characters are introduced quickly and briefly. I also miss the connection to the human realm - it seems the last two books have taken place on a magical realm vs the original one in Stone Guardian. However, with all that said Danielle does a great job of balancing an urban fantasy type feel with a paranormal romance feel. The storyline featuring the Guild is intriguing and gives this book a bit of a UF feel and they work well together without one overpowering the other. She has introduced some very intriguing characters (specifically Reign) and of course Fallon with just enough hints to have me clamoring for more of a story between those two.Final Thoughts - This was a great edition to the series that will appeal to both UF and PNR fans. I'm looking forward to the next book and waiting impatiently for more. Thank goodness the wait won't be as long since the next book is scheduled for March! Thanks to the author for providing this book in return for a fair review.

Another fantastic journey into the Entwined Realms
I am having a hard time determining whether this one or "Stone Guardian" are my favorites in this series. The world building is fantastic and the introduction of new characters including gods with a sense of humor takes urban fantasy to a whole new level. I think I would like to see some plot developments that don't involve little brothers as prime motivators for the heroine's actions. In both "The Cage King" and "The Dream Crafter" the heroine's brother has been a primary focus of the heroine and although the world building and the author's imaginative use of fantasy to create new characters and plot twists are fantastic, the use of the brother as a plot ploy needs to be left behind for future books, in my humble opinion. However, even if it does show up in another book in this series, I will still buy it and love it because the rest of the book is so fantastic.Of particular interest is Fallon, and the development of her character in this book. I cannot wait for a book which features Fallon and her history, back story and motivation as the primary plot of the book. That one will be a keeper as are all the books in the Entwined Realms series.
