Department store CEO Joo Won (Hyun Bin) behaves as is fitting for a business leader and a member of the upper class. Meticulous about his work, looks, and image, he demands the best from those around him in the most patronizing of ways, and he doesn't mix with the riff-raff. All that changes the moment he meets stuntwoman Ra Im (Ha Ji Won) and her swift kick. Being the rich, important person he is, Joo Won couldn't possibly be interested in a poor stuntwoman... but he just can't get her out of his mind, so he keeps barging into her life in hopes she'll return his attention. Every encounter turns into an emotionally charged argument thanks to Joo Won's invasive actions and insensitive way with words. Their complicated relationship takes an even stranger turn when they wake up one morning and..! Review: Secret Garden DVD - Love the movie, however, did loose subtitle during an episode Review: Witty, Nuanced English Subtitles - First off; I love Secret Garden I start watching it in autumn, "Indian summer," and through the holidays -- its become my Charlie Brown Christmas or Wizard of Oz. I noticed a few times it was not available in streaming and worried about losing access to it. I also noticed subtitles in a brief reference in "A Gentleman's Dignity" were more nuanced and I wanted to find that version, if possible. So I purchased this DVD version. I am glad I did. Well, after the first two episodes, I noticed that the english subtitles are better than the streaming version I've seen -- much much wittier and easier to track back to the story, no more awkward phrasing that doesn't quite hit the mark. I am looking forward to this year's binge fest.

As great as I remember...
I watched this drama several times back when it was streaming on Netflix. Recently I decided to buy the DVD so that I could watch it any time I wanted. It's as great as I remember, and it'll remain one of my favourite dramas ever. The only issue that I have with the DVD is that sometimes the subtitles would appear and then disappear very quickly, and even pausing won't help. I even tried to glue my eyes to the screen the moment a disappearing subtitle appeared but it didn't work. In any case, the DVD set that I received is beautiful--it has the jewel cases and comes with five DVDs (20 episodes). I did notice a mistake behind one of the jewel cases--they placed Yoo In Na's picture with Kim Sa Rang's name. I guffawed. Just kidding, I chuckled. Just kidding, I laughed. Buying these K-Drama DVDs is an investment! This one was worth it. I have already watched the DVD twice since receiving it.

Unfortgetable, original romantic fantasy very well acted and produced
Very, very good series. Very well acted with amazingly skill. Also, all 4 leads are very good looking. Especially the rich store owner and the super wealthy, connected rich girl. It also can be very funny with the rich man as the poor stunt woman. The look on his/her new face when he sees the major dump she has to live in is terriffic. ALso, he hates her chothes & buys her a new wardrobe. Its very funny & well handled that he is far more concerned with clothes as both man & when he's her than she is. The reactions around them are also a hoot, no one can believe how suddenly 'nice' 'he' has become. And now 'unplesant' ' & superior acting 'she' has become in the action school. As the girl forces him to go there and act like her. There is a wonderful where pretending to her sees his female friend & shrink & hears how life will be almost impossible for 'her' because his family will destroy her if it gets serious & he will not protect her because she's not important enough. But there are many funny scenes. My favorite is when they visit a spa will in each other's body and he spend time with his cousin's old family in a sauna & she in a not tub with his cousin. They are not each other all the time, but instead swap back & forth & maybe spend a week as each other before swapping back. Good subtitles.

Older format but great dvd
The format is boxed on my 4K tv but quality is acceptable if you are used to watching this from 10 years ago. It’s fine and the story is great

A treasure to own
I’m giving it 5 stars because it is one of my favorite Kdramas! I suppose the quality of the picture is poor because of the year it was done. The subtitles are excellent! I think this is the best work Hyun Bin has ever done. His acting skills are the best and his comedic timing is the best I have ever watched!

Freaking Crazy
I saw bits of this while I was in South Korea and every business I walked into that had a TV either had this show on or had news about this show on. I assumed that it was some sort of Korean version of Twilight so I thought I'd get it for a laugh. THIS IS THE MOST INSANE THING I HAVE EVER SEEN AND I CAN'T STOP WATCHING!!!! There are so many weird plot twists and awkward stares and the soundtrack is so oddly featured that I actually bought it on iTunes. If you like weird things and don't mind subtitles then get this. Two pieces of advice. 1) Make sure you have a lot of time on your hands 2) The DVD defaults to Chinese so you end up reading English subtitles, dubbed in Chinese, while the actors are speaking Korean. Switch the audio track back to Korean and it makes it much more enjoyable. MILD SPOILER: If you think this show is crazy just wait until they drink the magic potion!!!!

wonderful k-drama
this was my only the second k-drama i had ever seen and i LOVE it. the characters are well developed. it does have a formula, but there are some nice little twists and turns in it that make you smile. it had a nice balance. i didnt scream at the tv saying, "just tell him you love him." lol.. it is a great series!!. package came very quickly and was just as the seller said. would buy from them again.

I had a problem with one of the discs but I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement. I love this drama but the subtitles could be better. In almost every episode there is a spot where a whole line of the subtitles will only appear for a fraction of a second. And I noticed that some of the translations are wrong. At one point the stuntwoman says " I am always with me" but it should be "I am always with men" . The other mistake in the subtitles is when the CEO says "and shaved her three times a day" but the translation should be "and brushed her teeth three times a day" . Despite these annoying flaws this is a great drama that is an emotional roller coaster. Even when I was watching it for the fourth time, and knew what to expect, I was still pulled into the lives of these characters. When I first saw this show listed on Netflix I didn't want to watch it because of the magic and the body switching. However, now I am glad I did. Body switching was the only way for the stuntwoman and the CEO to fully understand each other. This drama also does a great job of examining relationships from both the male and female perspectives. I can watch this show over and over again because it is a great insight into human nature and relationships. After I finished watching it the first two times I still didn't understand the CEO or his mother. Then I watched "Boys over flowers" and that drama helped me understand the CEO. Then I watched "Autumn's concerto" and I finally understood his mother. In this drama the ghost of the stuntwoman's father tries to save her life by transfering her mind / spirit into a different body. I wasn't familiar with asian superstitions and beliefs about the afterlife when I first watched this show. However, later I saw a drama called "Love Cheque Charge" and it explained a lot about ghosts, red strings, and why going to a temple was important. If you are still not sure if this drama is for you all I can say is that it does a great job of showing why people do what they do. I think this drama will help you see things from a different perspective and help you understand people better.

Very good service by the seller. A well presented DVD set. Excellent picture quality. The subtitles move by pretty quickly but I got used to it. I enjoyed this 5 disc set of 20 episodes.
