Awesome for backpacking/hiking
I have used an older version of this rod for a couple of years until the tip broke last week. It was my fault it broke. So I'm happy to replace it with the same product. Except it isn't exactly the same, it seems to be slightly beefed up. I'm reviewing the smallest one you can buy btw, 1.8m I believe. The old rod of the same length had 4 eyes, this one has 5, which is an upgrade for sure. The handle feels better in my hand, it's slightly larger. The rod extended is about 3 inches longer than the old one, not a big difference, but worth noting. It is slightly heavier, and as a person that uses this while hiking or backpacking, it is why I knocked this version down a star in the lightweight category. Overall, not a big deal though, I'll still happily use it while hiking. Which brings me to the main benefit of this rod; it's very easy to hike with. It collapses down quickly and easily. It's easy to either hold while hiking or keep it in my backpack while backpacking without it sticking out of the pack and catching itself on things. Really cool rod and I recommend it.

Pretty good!
My only complaint is that the top of the rod becomes hard to put down and for a while was just stuck. Otherwise really wanted to test this thing out while I was in Alaska, and it held up decently well.
