Norcold 633726 Gas Solenoid Valve

The product didn't fit my applicatio but the company was outstanding, communicated immediately with and appreciate thier professionalism.

Do not confuse this cheaper Norcold valve with the much more expensive Dometic valve, even though the pictures are exactly the same. The Dometic valve will accept your old gas jet and mounting hardware, the Norcold will not. In my application I had to lay the valve on its side to fit in the original position but, other than that, it worked just fine. The problem was that the original valve was leaking gas from just below the solenoid which would then ignite and cause a flame outside the firebox, causing a serious fire hazard. It pays to pay attention! Check you water heater and refrigerator from the outside frequently!

My Norcold fridge valve was sticking open resulting in an FL code. I had to bang the side of the fridge to get the valve to shut, or run the fridge on AC. This replacement valve was a perfect fit and has resolved the issue. This is a Norcold branded part and I had no issues with leaks that I had read about with the other generic replacements.

Perfect fit for my camper and solved the problem of my refrigerator not working on propane. To add to that it was a 10 minute fix. Before you buy check to see if the old one gets 12 volt. If it is and the is not switching that’s how you will know this will fix your issues.

Just replaced the coil and the old valve works great. To bad the coil cannot be purchased alone.
