Can I use this while transporting my board on the exterior of my car on a highway? I am worried that it will fall apart/shred.

Yes. Material is terry cloth type and is good for your board protection. I use it all the time when when traveling on the highway and have had no issues.

Will the 8'6" sock fit an 8'6" nsp board, or do i need to go up to a 9'6" (seems like there will be a lot of material left over dangling at the end?)

I would recommend the 9'6" sock for your 8'6" surfboard. The material is fairly stretchy, so it probably won't hang over much at the end. And we should have a 9'0" sock available early 2022 👀 - Steve

The 9'6" wont fit a 10' board will it?

Is your 10' board a longboard or a SUP? If longboard, the 9'6" sock might stretch enough if you take your fin out. If you have a SUP, this sock won't fit. But we are working on a SUP sock, and that should be ready early 2022 😎 - Stevie
