Shim Stock Flat Sheet Assortments Model Code: AB (part# 16680)

I use this material in a mixed media art piece, and in custom designed mobile hangings.

Used the .004" sheet to calibrate my 3d printers height offset. It sticks to the magnetic bed and gives a better feel over the paper method.

I've used this shim pack for a couple things now. I really like the variety of sizes. It seemed expensive at the time but I've gotten enough use out of it to be happy.

I just needed one size originally but this was the best deal I found - I've since use som other sizes.

Nice assortment of shim stock if you don't already have one. Thickness is very accurate.

Works fine for several uses. I tend to get kind of heavy with files and grinders. This saves me heart ache.

These are nicely made steel shims , in a good assortment . By stacking two shims , you can also create additional thicknesses .

Came packed in a full size wrap of anti corrosion paper and was shipped between two layers of heavy card stock. A couple of nice touches which earned the seller my high rating. And the pieces are marked with light inked repeated printing for thicknesses. Another nice touch which my previous shim stock did not have.

Unfortunately three out of the four corners were damaged during transport which makes a large percentage of the shim stock unusable. Perhaps it could have been better packaged rather than just a cardboard box. Pity because it is a good quality product but for the price and the chance of being damaged I wouldn’t buy again.

I have used this material to shim bearings for my backhoe and a 1996 Ford Aspire front wheel bearings! It is well labelled and packaged well.
