Nazi Women: The Attraction of Evil Paperback – April 15, 2015

I am fairly knowledgeable about WW II but had never read much about this topic. I was aware of the two most prominent, Hitler's niece and mistress, but the others were unknown to me. It was shocking to learn of the others. Especially the fact that their were so many and such a variety of backgrounds from his earliest days was rather scary.

Not all German women fell in with the Nazisduring the Hitler years, but many did.They were attracted to the violence and the power.Nazi Women: The Attraction of Evil, is a case study ofsome of the women who wanted to be part of somethingmany didn't fully see, and about some who knew exactly whatthey were seeing.The reader is taken into the inner circle of some of the Nazihigher ranking officials, and into their mindset.If you are a history enthusiast, you will enjoy reading about thistime of turmoil from a different perspective.

Always wondered how and why women of Nazi Germany did what they did and this book gives a lot of detail. The women of Hitler's inner circle are and interesting lot.

Still reading this but it has some very interesting facts and stories.

This book is very well written and includes a great deal of information. It's also very balanced in showing the good, the bad, and the ugly. From Jewish women who hid out in terror, to women who knew they had to take a stand, to the Nazi bigwig wives, and then finally to the evil women who joined in in the horrible crimes of the Nazis.

A lot of support for why German women justified their non responsibility for what they did when committing atrocities. Just an almost anecdotal mention of those that took the risks to defy national actions.

These Hourly History book serve their purpose as a good synopsis of the person or thing.It's a quick read lending a good sketch.
