Leilalove Macarons - 12 Gourmet Macarons dozen flavors

My girlfriend has told me she never liked pistachio-flavored items, so when she got these for an early Valentine's gift, she LOVED the flavor and said everything tasted amazing! I definitely recommend it to those who want to try macaroons as a first for a price that isn't insane.

I'd been craving these sweet treats for a while, and I was pleased to have this gift box sent over a day earlier than expected. The packaging was very cute and secure (the macarons were in their own individual baggies and packed in with bubble wrap). As shown in the pictures, a few cookies cracked or crumbled, but nothing too bad. And I can't complain since the seller has nothing to do with how the package is handled. Concerning the flavors, I got the summer flavors, with my top two favorites being Honey Lavender and Raspberry lime. So yummy! I'd consider buying again if it weren't so expensive. Absolutely delicious!! Love, love, them!!

I ordered them and it it hot summer season here. They arrived melted and gooey. Made it hard to figure out the flavors that way. They would have been beautiful and yummy. I tried one and it must have been spoiled from the heat and upset my stomach. But really yummy. I will try them again in cooler weather for sure. Also note that you do not get all the flavors listed, just some with a picture to identify all the flavors, not just the ones you received and you do not get to choose which flavors you want. A really good tasting product if you purchase in a cooler area or time of year.

So these arrived today within the window we were given for delivery. My daughter wanted them, and honestly, delicious. Out of 12 she enjoyed 6 completely (She isn't much of lemon, lavender, rose, or pistachio. I got to try lavender and rose)They are delicious! Fresh, arrived in wonderful shape, and each in their own little bag and smell fantastic as well!I loved these she just wished hers had a chocolate, sad it did not but just means we will order a larger pack with more flavors. For trying well worth the price tag.Be warned, make sure someone is home when they get in as the package states to put in the fridge.Thank you all!

Well the macarons arrived way earlier than expected, as mentioned by previous reviewers and I have to agree, the packaging is quite superb. They came beautifully packaged, each one carefully placed in individual baggies and inside of a true macaron box. They were all in perfect condition although, I would have to say, after seeing how much time and care was put into the packaging of these, I don't think I would have complained even if a couple of them would have arrived broken. Aside from personally hand delivering them to your door step, she truly could not do anything more to protect them in transit! As for the product itself, let me just begin by stating that I am freshly home from a trip to Paris where I had the opportunity to visit a shop daily which sold hand made French macarons, so my review is possibly altered due to the natural comparison that would be expected after such an experience. With that all being said, these are a slightly more dense or heavy version than I was expecting and they have a rougher exterior. That is neither here nor there but still worth mentioning for the macaron purists out there. For my personal tastes, I enjoyed the more basic flavors over the exotic ones. Therefore, the chocolate, pistachio, plum, almond and lemon were all fan favorites for me. I didn't care for the food coloring used because it definitely left a bitter after taste in over half of the flavors. There was a spice that I am having a difficult time identifying, but kept showing up in the most unexpected flavors throughout the box. No one in my household cared for that which I think may have been some type of cardamom or all spice. These macarons have the potential to be beyond perfection just by applying a basic order tweak like offering people the chance to choose their flavors or offering basic flavor boxes like chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, etc., just as they offer in France. Leave the exotic flavors to the variety box for individuals who don't mind rolling the dice on what they are getting. That way i could enjoy 12 out of 12 instead of 4 or 5 out of 12. If that were an option, I would definitely order these again and maybe even send them to a few people as gifts!
