Q: Are Clif Bloks vegan?

I instantly wanted to say no because I assumed they used geletin but went and read the ingredients and it appears they may possibly be. The ingredients on the strawberry shot bloks are: organic tapioca syrup, organic dried sugar cane syrup, organic maltodextrin, pectin, citric acid, natural flavor, colored with carrot juice concentrate, potassium citrate, sea salt, organic sunflower oil, carnauba wax. The labeling doesn't specify that they are vegan, so I would suggest contacting CLIF.

Q: Where does the caffeine come from? Don't see it listed in the ingredients....

CLIF BLOKS provide a convenient source of carbohydrates and electrolytes, and in some flavors added caffeine, for sustained energy during sports and other activities. Some flavors of CLIF BLOKS endurance-focused products have varying levels of added caffeine in the form of green tea extract - a natural source of caffeine. CLIF BLOKS offers two caffeine levels (25 and 50 mg per serving. Each packet contains 2 servings.) so that athletes can tailor their caffeine intake to match their endurance needs. All CLIF BLOKS flavors with added caffeine clearly state caffeine on the front and back of the package, and have a visual comparison to coffee to help guide a consumer. Caffeinated flavors are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age, pregnant or nursing women, or for those sensitive to caffeine.

Q: Is this chew a gum or similar texture? I can't chew gum or it pulls out my fillings.

It is not gum, but they are a softer version of a gummy bear or JuJu candy ( like you get at the movies). I sometimes get them caught in my teeth. If that kind of things pulls your fillings, I would not recommend. These are big and there are smaller items that perform the same function that may be better for you.
