Q: Does this sensor really work in sunlight? I am looking to replace the sensor on a 24 foot commercial door and sunlight has always been a problem.

I don't have that issue. Have you tried turning the gain up on the sensor ? Try some rain x on the reflector. Make sure your gate opening is within the parameters of the sensor. Good luck.

Q: Will this work with Aleko AC5700 sliding gate?

It works for our electronic gate, and ours is not a Aleko. I can't remember the name of our gate but I'm sure it will work for yours.

Q: Will this cut the power off for a garage door opener?

I am not too sure, we don't use it for a garage door opener, but for a metal gate. Once it senses something in the beam, it stops the door from opening any further.
