It was great! I moved to Europe and Jalepenos are not commonly found in grocery stores. It's great to keep in my cabinet for a dash of heat.

Not very hot

Love this powder. We mainly use it for our popcorn. The bag is large, always fresh and priced well. I’ve purchased several times.

If you're transferring this to a hard container, as I did, do it OUTSIDE or under a fume hood! It is a very fine powder, and the dust practically blinded me. So, don't let it get airborne in your house, unless you want everyone sneezing. Aside from that, it is DELICIOUS. It is also EXTREMELY hot. For comparison, I tasted some 40,000 SHU cayenne and then this jalapeño powder; in my subjective opinion, the jalapeño powder is pushing 100,000 - 200,000 SHU, several times hotter. It's about as hot as a fresh habanero pepper. It's twice as hot as their chile de arbol. Maybe this is just a particularly hot crop, purchased October 2024 (jalapeños can range from moderate to extremely hot, so your experience may vary over time.) Lol, my mouth is still burning from the speck I tasted 20 minutes ago. I imagine this would go perfectly in eggs, guacamole, chili, cornbread, dips and spreads, in mayonnaise, and anywhere you want to crank up the heat while adding subtle fruitiness of the jalapeño. Anyways, I love it. It's extremely hot, but the flavor behind that heat is nothing short of sublime.

We used this to add to Venison because it makes it taste much better and tastes more like beef and not gamey. Very healthy to eat venison. This would work well with Chili and adding to any meat or poultry dish. Enjoy!!!
