What scope rings are needed on a Ruger American Rifle for this scope ?

My advice if that if you’re not comfortable taking the measurements to determine the correct height rings, buy multiple heights and return the ones that don’t work. Or keep them for potential future use. Buy the highest quality you can afford within reason considering the price of the scope. You may upgrade your scope someday so more reason to use quality rings. The rings might require lapping so consider a Weaver scope mounting kit if your future includes more scope mounting. Real easy to crush the tube if you don’t at last confirm before torquing. What power to use for the bdc to work properly.?

Since it is a second focal plane reticle, then your BDC only works at the highest magnification level. To verify whether you have a ffp(first focal plane) or a sft(second focal pane) -- you can distinguish a ffp from a sfp by the size of the reticle. if the size of the reticle changes as magnification changes it is a ffp optic. if it does not its an sfp.

I have a Remington 700 7mm rem mag that kicks hard. Will it hold up?
