AirTurnManos Universal Tablet and Phone Holder (Mic Stand Not Included)

I have been using this mount for almost 4 years to hold an iPad while gigging. I have tried several similar products and none of them worked as well as this one. AirTurns’s customer service is highly responsive and helpful as well. The company stands behind their products 100%, and have assisted me with small maintenance issues twice now. Highly recommend!

Love this tablet holder! I've used it mounted on a single mic stand, and liked it so much I also bought a side-arm mount to use the holder on my boom stand when I play with the band. I had tried another holder that was supposed to fit my iPad Pro without taking the cover off, and it dropped the iPad 3 times in the first 10 minutes of use. The Manos has been sturdy and reliable, no drops, turns easily to change orientation, and it's quick and easy to mount/unmount the iPad WITH the Otterbox cover still on (I do have to take the pencil off but the pencil will magnetically stay on the side of the metal stand so it's still readily accessible). Very happy with this product.

I bought this on a recommendation of a friend who does a ton of reviews for audio magazines and who has used them on the road. (Yes, it works on the huge iPad Pro, which was critical for me). I've found it easy to use and effective. I'm withholding a star because as some folks have noted, this is not a bomber-proof clamp. You do need to exercise care with it, and you should always double-check to make sure that your pad is secure. (There are interchangeable inserts to the clamps to adapt to different thicknesses- if you're using the iPad Pro, you will want to swap out the inserts). That said, it's easy to use, and it's done the job well for me. As long as you don't abuse it and you use awareness and safety-checks when mounting or removing your pad, you'll be pleased with it.

This holder tends to break, it is the center holder screw that gets wearout and it is difficult to tide up the tablet in place.

The Manos holder arrived in a timely fashion as promised. The holder is fairly compact and is a solid build quality. My wife and I have a duo and I wanted a holder that would allow placement between the two of us via a mic stand. It doesn’t come with a mic stand but those are easily available. TheManos holds my iPad with cover securely. My cover isn’t too thick. For my purposes, holding my IPad with backing tracks, itworks well.

Sturdy, durable. Screws onto a mic stand or boom like a mic clip. Bought my first one several years ago, I still use it almost every day. Recently purchased a second one for another iPad Pro.

This was my second AirTurn product and will be the last. Ironically, I purchased it along with a Donner pedal to replace the poorly designed AirTurn PEDpro. Lesson learned, finally.I would have used this with a Surface Pro 4. I found that it did hold securely, without any discernible slipping, but I could not find a mounting location that did not deform the screen to some degree or another. This bothers me to the extent that it makes me unwilling to use the product. Pinching the device at two points to hold it is inherently more stressful to the device than any simple cradle. I also found it infinitely fussy to get the Surface mounted straight. Other reviewers have mentioned the angle adjustment mechanism as being inadequate. I didn't find it drooping, but the bearing surfaces are very small and prone to over tightening and it doesn't impress me as likely having a very long useful life. To add insult to injury, the adjustment nut is very close to the device and manipulating it is awkward indeed. Do yourself a favor and get over any feelings you have that this is so cute you have to have it, and buy something else. I put this in the trash along with the PEDpro and am happily using products from other vendors.
