Arrowhead Mills Organic Oat Flour, 16 Ounce Bag (Pack of 6)

I love whole oat flour for things like pancakes and muffins because it tastes great and is healthier than most other grains. Unfortunately, there aren't many brands available and they tend to be pricey. I shopped around and this organic oat flour was less expensive than any other oat flour sold in quantities usable by an ordinary consumer (i.e., not in 50 lb bags). It was even less expensive than other brands of NON-organic whole oat flour. In recipes, this flour looks, tastes and performs exactly the same as other quality brands.

I like that it is a good source of fiber in the cookies that I bake

We had a major problem: How do we replace all purpose flour when one of us has a wheat sensitivity. We tried a lot of other flours (corn, rice, mixed), but this one is almost perfect. It even rises almost as well as wheat flour when xanthum and/or gluten has been added to it. It is a very good all purpose flour while working as well as whole wheat pastry flour would.We first bought this product from a local grocer, but they are flaky about stocking these regularly. Great product!!

I use this flour in my wheat recipe. I personally like the texture and flavor that it imparts to the bread. I have never used it exclusively for bread so I can't comment on what the results might be. Oat flour is lighter that whole wheat or unbleached, all purpose flours so one may need to use more flour in a stand-alone recipe for a truly oat flour based bread.

I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and texture of this oat flour. It’s smooth and doesn’t have any aftertaste. Holds up well in every recipe I have tried and isn’t as “carby” as other types of flour.

I use this to make lactation cookies and cookie bars. I love it! It cooks easily and the price was really good for the pack of six! There's not much to say besides it does exactly what I need and expect it to do!

I was careful to order the red and green bags of organic gluten-free oat flour. I received a case of red and gold bags that ARE NOT GLUTEN-FREE. Very disappointed.
