can you roll this product up--i am looking to use it for music gigs to cover my wires onstage as i play at different venues--i need to be able to roll

I wouldn't get these. I would get some of the plastic covers. I ended up getting the plastic covers and thre away the braided cable

Does the sleeve have a slit along the side or do you have to push the cable through from one end to the other?

This sleeve doesn't have a slit along a side. We have to push the cable thru one end to the other. This sleeve is expandable, it expand up to 1.5 time s. So, it is easy to push cable. If you want side opening sleeves, then go for F6N1.00 sleeve.
