Valentine's Day gift...better than chocolates and roses.
I gave this to my girl for valentine's day because i work in the firearm and knife industry and she absolutely loved it. This thing is razor sharp once you give it a good sharpening.Obviously, this knife looks great, a bit colorful but girls will absolutely love this knife if a man decides to carry it around and would be a good conversation starter. I loved the size and shape, it really felt good in my hands and i'm sure if i had smaller hands it'd feel much better.Fellas, if you want to be unique and interesting get her this as a gift. It looks great, is affordable, is useful and best of all gives her a means of protection that will help her find comfort in you as her significant other.

Eh...
As a gold box deal for $9, it's ok. Seems decent enough quality and its fairly sharp. The handle feels a little thin and I doubt everything will stay tight if abused more than a little. My biggest complaint is that the blade is too thick near the cutting edge so there will be no fine slicing or carving unless you grind the edge down.

Nice knife for the money
This is one of the new "Superknife" lines coming out of China these days. Overall, this is a nice knife for the money. I have been looking at several brands *other* than Kershaw, including Boker, Fury, and United. All are much smaller than the Whetstone T. This knife is a full-sized one, which is a must if you have large hands. The only huge negative about this knife is the liner lock. The lock is a typical thumb-push-to-the-side-to-release-the-blade type. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has "overbent" the lock spring so that not only is it difficult to unlock, it is difficult to simply open the knife with either the thumb stud or the blade "bump-out" because of the drag the spring exerts on the blade. (I purchased two of these, so I know this is not just a "one-off" problem.)After some pretty strenuous "kitchen-hacking", I was able to bend the spring back enough to where I can instantly open the blade with the bump-out, and now the knife opens and closes smoothly. The other thing I've noticed about the Super Knives is that they make the pocket clips a little too long, which causes the screws to come loose almost immediately from the constant side-to-side motion of the clip under normal handling. If you don't mind doing a bit of fix-up, the Whetstone T is a beautiful piece of work, and the largest of the "off-brand" anodized "rainbow" knives. I would say the price is reasonable for what you get.

i cant say enough how great of a knife this is
ive recently bought this knife and after reading through some comment on it. i cant say enough how great of a knife this is. someone said that they couldn't keep the blade from locking? well just close it and put your index finger on the easy release on the back and pull towarfds your hand then give it a simple wrist flick and you should hear a click that means its locked in place. another person said that the blade was hard or didn't know how to put the blade down.well if you look at the index finger grips just move that to the left and fold down.(be careful the blade is very sharp) so there aren't any flaws that i can think of and i think its worth the buy.

Dangerous. Doesn't Stay Closed.
The price dropped radically on this knife so I bought two. I had to return both immediately. The blade would not stay locked into the handle when closed. I tried putting one in my pocket to test it out. When I went to pull it out, it opened. There was no tension at all keeping it closed. The other knife had slightly more tension but not enough to make this a safe knife for carrying.Aside from that, the knife was much larger and heavier than I expected. I would never use a knife this large for an EDC. I might be spoiled by my terrific, tiny Gerber Mini-Paraframe. Case in point: I just got up to go get the Gerber to make sure I had the brand correct. After a minute of searching for it, I realized it was already clipped in my front pocket.Amazon took back both defective Whetstone knives. I see this knife is on sale, again. I also see it has decent ratings, so your mileage may vary. Just be careful!

Extremely disappointed..
Extremely disappointed... bought the knife a couple months ago, loved it so much, and ended up giving it to a friend before she left for college. Finally got around to ordering another one for myself, came out of the box entirely covered by fingerprints and smudges, and this knife was definitely not as sharp as the first one I had ordered. The colors also don't look as good as the first one in addition to having two spots with a stain that won't seem to come off.

A tad more than impressed... Maybe more than a tad
I bought this &, I'm not gonna lie, at the time all i could think was "ooooh look at the colors, so shiny"! So i purchased this pretty little thing. I received it really quick. My gawd. This knife. SOOO SHARP. I fear for my life every time i drop it while it's open. A normal knife would land on your foot & make a tiny little gash. I'm terrified this thing will go through my foot, through the floor I'm standing on, & maybe cut open the cement floor in the basement, all in just one quick drop. I've had this knife for a while. It is still exactly the same as when i bought it. I think it's quite obvious how i feel about this item.

Pretty and pretty slippery.
This is a very pretty knife, but also very slippery to hold. Also, it's larger and heavier than I was expecting. On the other hand, it was pretty sharp out of the box, seemed well made and worked just fine. All in all a pretty decent value for the 12 dollars. I wouldn't knock it's value, just be aware that it's large, heavy and slippery.
