Replacing this $30 part saved me from buying a new washing machine! The part was delivered 2 days early and came with spare door latches! which were also needed! This kit made the repair super easy and took me all of 15 minutes. The washer is over 10 years old and the service technician said that the cost of repair was not worth it on such an old machine. I was willing to take a risk on getting the right part and installing it myself. Doing so saved me from spending almost $1,000 to replace the washer. Total win! Outstanding result! The only reason for the single star review is that it showed up pretty quickly and then actual install was easy. Otherwise, I'd give this no stars. Since replacing my old one, the for latch holds for even less time. During a wash cycle it doesn't even hold the door closed for 5 minutes before the annoying buzzing of the door being open. And when I go to shut the door fully, it falls right back open immediately. Doesn't do its job at all and not worth the hassle. I'm either going to have to get a new part from the actual washing machine manufacturer or I'm going to have to get a new washer. It also started melting the door switch that came with the latch. Terrible product
