As far as cheap bait casters go, get this one, I upgraded from the Brutus like 7 bucks more and this one is way better. I like everything about it. If you want to test to see if you like bait casters then try this one.

So, I’m a super beginner at baitcasting. I have tried a few, including the Royale Legend II / II 200, and do like those. But the Spartacus II is so nice to use. Tuning it was incredibly simple. On others I have had to adjust the brakes quite a bit, but I only have it on setting 1 and thumb control is very easy. I was able to achieve a 100 yard cast today on a 3/4oz weight on a MH pole, as well as an easy 50 yard cast with a 1/4oz weight on a telescopic medium pole. There is no click with the spool tension adjustment, just in case people reading this are wondering.
