IT REALLY DOES WORK
In this day in age so many things claim to do the job and some reviews agree while others hate the product so its a gamble to buy and try it yourself . I have a 16 foot vinyl above ground pool that developed the black ,brown algae this year and I tried many different chemicals and lots of scrubbing to get rid of it to no avail . 1 treatment of silvertrine and 8 hours later no more sign of any algae spots and pool is crystal clear . WOW! It really does work . Try it you'll like it to

Works great for pink slime
Last summer we had a serious link slime issue in our pool. We have an intex 22x54 pool that came with the cartridge filter system. We got this because it was the only thing i could find thst was affordable and said for pink slime. The slime was in and on everything. To the point we broke down the pool for the season. We went set up this year..i followed the instructions..and within a few days..it was gone. No traces of pink. After about 3 weeks using the cartridge system..it started slowly coming back.Again..this removed it..but we also bought a larger sand filter. This stuff works great but if your filter system isnt big enough the slime will come back. We havent had any issues since..and i still do the small maintenance dose just to be safe.

Did the job the first time
If you're fighting black aglae, don't waste time and money with other products. This is the stuff to use. Look, I take care of my own pool and when I saw the dreaded black algae I freaked. I purchased this Silvertrine, used two doses according to the directions and bam, black algae was killed. I pressure washed the surface of the pool (gunite), ran the filter non stop for a week, rinsing twice in between, and the algae is gone. 4 weeks now black algae has NOT returned.

alternative to chlorine
We have been using colloidal silver in our pool for the last 5 years in combination with hydrogen peroxide since I am allergic to chlorine products. This works well, does not smell and does not irritate eyes and skin. The family enjoys swimming in a pool.

Highly Recommend This Product
I started to get the Pink Slime/Bacteria in my pool again this swim season. I have used it once following instructions and it went away; that was three weeks ago and plan to alternate every other week with my regular 60 Algaecide. Folks the Pink Slime is not an Algae; but a Bacteria growth that once you get it it is hard to get rid of it (it can come from a water hose) make sure not to place the hose into the pool if the hose is your regular multi hose you leave out in the yard all year. Also make sure you turn the water hose on and let it run for about 3 minutes before using the water for your pool! Also bird droppings, or pets swimming in your pool or children accidents (babies need waterproof swimmers on) you can get this bacteria. Hopefully this product will work as previous seasons (some years I don't get this Pink stuff in my pool) I had to put so much shock in my pool like 8- 10 pounds I'm sure my pool surface didn't like me much, My pool bounced all over the place lol; not funny really! The super super shock treatment did get rid of the Pink Slim, but I felt I was abusing my pool and may cause damage to the gunite. I would highly recommend this product! I purchased 2 bottles and it is a product that can be used on regular Alglaecide Preventive Maintenance; but a little expensive for that use only. Any change I will update my review.

Exactly what I wanted
I use Silvertrine for closing my pool in winter and it's getting harder to find. This algaecide works great at helping to keep pool water clear when opening in the spring.

THIS PRODUCT IS OVERRATED. DOESN'T WORK ON PEBBLE TECH SURFACE POOLS
I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT WAS HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR USE FOR ONE REASON , TO WIN THE BATTLE AGAINST BLACK ALGAE. I UPGRADED THE SURFACE OF MY POOL FROM PLASTER TO PEBBLE TECH, IT WAS LOOKING GOOD FOR ABOUT FIVE YEARS, THEN I NOTICED BLACK ALGAE STARTING TO APPEAR IN THE SOFT CORNERS OF THE POOL. I BOUGHT EVERY POOL BRUSH AND ALGAECIDE ON THE MARKET. NOTHING WORKS. I TRIED SILVERTRINE AND WHAT A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

Expensive but works.
Did initial treatment in spring and twice since. It is now August. No algae. Using with awesome 5 way tablets and pool is always perfectly clear and on the numbers.
