Description says: "Ingredients: Timothy, Alfalfa Flower, Alfalfa Meal, Soya Oil with mixed tocopherols and Rosemary extract, Yucca Schidigera Plant Extract" FWIW, "timothy" is a type of grass. All of these ingredients are considered non-toxic and cat-safe (assuming your cats aren't allergic, of course).

No, it’s not made of silica. That would absorb liquid, these dissolve. It’s likely calcium chloride with a baking soda type additive and fragrance

Q: Does this work with crystal cat litter? The arm + hammer deodorizer does not work with crystal litter.

I only use scoopable litter. When I scoop the box I have never seen the remnants of the orange crystals, so I assume they dissolve. I do know that since I first switched from powders to the Fresh Step Cat Litter Crystals, it completely eliminated odors--both liquid and solid. (My cat covers both.) Should you decide to go back to using scoopable litter, I find that Tidy Cat lightweight Scoopable litter seems to work the best when paired with Fresh Step Cat Litter Crystals. I hope this helps.
