Very good sauce!Just be aware there is no return or replacement of a broken jar, which I just found out after receiving two of these, one of which was broken and spilled out inside due to insufficient packing. It hurts twice: the price and the loss of the sauce.This is no a reflection of the sauce or the maker, it reflects only the delivery system. May be best bought off the shelf.

Tasty. A little bit acidic. I like chunky sauces that aren't too sweet and this fit the bill. A little bit chunkier and less acidic and it would have been perfect.

I am half Italian. So having had an Italian-American mother I think that qualifies me to write a review of Michael’s Brooklyn marinara sauce. Simply put it tastes pretty darn close to homemade. In fact it’s better than some Italian restaurants I have been to lately. And it leaves other bottled sauces in the also ran category. It tastes fresh not overly sweet and conservative use of spices and oil. Good to keep in the pantry for those cold winter nights! So it’s a bit expensive but worth it. You can also add sausages, meatballs, mushrooms etc as you wish. Give it a try.H

This sauce is great for ziti. It's the right texture, substance, & great value too.I buy fresh mozzarella, pecorino Romano for ziti but lazy marinara sauce. Great to make freeze if you live alone.

I found this sauce in Philly at Reading Terminal! It caught my eye and I liked the fresh ingredients. I was making a tortellini casserole that called for 32 ounces of sauce and I gave Michael’s a try. The casserole was a hit! I liked that it was on the sweet side compared to other sauces I’ve tried, and I liked the consistency. I don’t understand why other reviewers say it is sour, but we all have different taste buds. Yes, it’s a bit pricey and hard to find, but the other sauces that I use on the fly are pricey as well. You get what you pay for. I’m sorry it wasn’t a hit with others, but this is now my go to sauce!

I grew up in Brooklyn, and this is the ONLY jar sauce that tastes like the stuff my Italian friends' mothers made.

Sauce is fine, Amazon delivery a disaster. Four jars of sauce broken, tomatoes covering the other items in the carton. Amazon is very difficult to deal with, because Amazon AI states “no returns”. The chat session, promising redelivery, has disappeared. My original review also disappeared.
