When our Patches are applied to down jackets they adhere brilliantly, although we can’t guarantee they will stay on during machine – though they usually do. We have tested our patches on different jackets, which have been washed a number of times, and run through a tumble dryer on medium heat, and have stayed on without shifting. However, if you are unsure, we recommend you use a safety pin to close the hole during machine washing and replace with a new patch if necessary.

I cannot confirm whether Pro-Fix produce a navy shade, but my black Pro-Fix patch was easy to fix and, so far, is adhering perfectly on my Rab jacket's sleeve.
