Worked perfectly! My laptop kept losing its charge really fast but I put this in and it has worked for 3 years

My laptop died if it was off its umbilical chord for more than five minutes, so this new battery has been live changing. I’m constantly impressed with the lifespan! Installation was simple. Takes a while to charge but it holds its charge really well!

**Update (7/9/2024): The battery is still working great and gives me hours of computer time. The cable attaching the battery to the computer does not sit nicely like the original did so there is a bit of a bulge that affects using the touchpad. It doesn't make the machine unusable though. I have to press the touchpad a few times to get a response from it but it doesn't happen 24/7 so I'm living with it. (Also I should note, I have another computer I use for work but I still do use this computer a lot as I am in school and running other side businesses). I work in IT and could certainly try to fix it but after working on other people's machines all day I have no desire to, haha. To be honest I'm going to use this machine and deal with the touchpad until it gives up the ghost or until I find a computer I like enough to replace it with.**Original: The original battery to my computer (Dell Inspiron 5482) was not holding a charge and was physically bulging so I bought this battery as a direct replacement. It was relatively easy to install. The place where the cable attaches to the battery is not in the exact same spot as on my original battery. There was slack on the line that I was able to move so that the battery would sit in the proper place and still be plugged in. I haven't had it long enough to test the battery but I will update later.

Listing says it supports 42Wh YRDD6 1VX1H Battery for Dell Inspiron 5482 5485 7586 3583 5491 5591 5481 3310 2-in-1 5593 5584 3493 3593 3793 5480 3582 5581 5590 3584 5493 5585 5594 5598 3501 P93G001 VM732 Vostro 3491 5490It does NOT fit the 3583. It screws in perfectly but the plug for the battery is in a different place than the OEM battery. There was no way to make it work. I recommend opening your laptop and comparing the physical location of the battery port matches.

Had Dell latitude 3310 that would not charge and had a "could not determine charger" boot warning. I had an extra power brick to test with. Replaced battery and bingo, back to normal. I am familiar with opening laptops, it's not hard, most folks can do it. Just read up on how to undo the connectors and take apart the case and be careful. This battery exchange was not bad. Mileage varies by model though.
