I bought this mainly because I needed a second leash, my dogs are both close to 100 lb. The description said that it is for dogs up to 250 lb. I believe that to be true but please be careful about not wrapping your hands around the cable itself because if the dog sees a rabbit, like mine did last night, you will get hurt LOL. No one's fault but my own. I love the soft stretchy flexible handle. Five stars, great quality, reflective material, I would buy again. Works well.

If you have a stubborn dog that gnaws on a lead, you need one of these. My boy is great with just about everything, but he's a country dog and doesn't take to being on a close lead all that much. So, when it's vet time, he used to chew through almost every short lead I bought... until this one. Now, this thing is thin, so don't freak out when you open the Amazon package and see it. But, it's tough. Unless you have a dog with some serious bite force, you'll have time to remove his mouth before he can chew through it like other leads. There is some kind of steel wiring inside a very thick coating of plastic. This sucker's the only one that has worked for me; I'm glad I found it.

If your dog is a heavy/aggressive chewer, this leash is for you! Recommended by my dog trainer, this chew-proof leash is a game changer for my 30 lb. puppy (aka Land Shark) who destroys everything she can get in her mouth. The leash is very sturdy and durable. At 5 feet long, it's a great length for my girl. Despite some teeth (shark) marks, the leash is still in great condition. I took off 1 star due to the orange grip covering on the leash handle. My little Land Shark chewed right through a small section of the orange rubber. I used scissors to remove the rest of it - problem solved - but she did swallow a piece before I realized what she was doing. Otherwise, a high quality leash!

Really like this leash. It’s puppy proof so far. It has a nice padded handle and looks good as well.

Nice length and design. Lightweight which is great. I really like the style of this leash and it's a good value for the money. Our dog chews on the leash when riding had hoped this one she would not chew on. Dog has chewed this one up too. Overall not a bad product just didn't work for us

Update: I bought another of these great leashes. They do not break and Solly still cannot not chew through it. I will probably buy another one so that I have one at each door and my grandson will have few. Granddog is now 75 pounds and still growing!This leash is great for my grand dog. He has chewed through 3 retractable leashes. Solomon can’t chew through these. It has a handle that I can put my arm through to have more control of this 5 month German Shepherd. It’s the best leash I have come across
