Tender Fresh Eel
Wow this eel is so delicious, the texture and flavor are so satisfying. I placed over organic jasmine rice with soy sauce. I saw in reviews that people complained not a lot of fat on it, great just the way I like. The price is higher than I care for, but the quality makes it worth it, I rate you a 10.

I like it but
I like but I didn’t like being tricked by the price it was $25 dollars when I wanted to buy it but then when I got charged it switched to $50 dollars and I did not like being tricked into buying something at a higher price do like it but it would be awesome if it had the fat on it like at the restaurants but like that it’s not sweetened like the other caned eels they roasted this flavor is better just needs to be like once in the restaurants with the fatty meat on it and be at a lower price and a few more and this would make a lot more money that people can afford cause people but a do love this flavor way better cause it’s not sweet and I can add my own flavor to it with my rice

Expensive but authentic
This is much closer to authentic unagi kabayaki than you'd find in most US Japanese restaurants, which often source their eel from Chinese fisheries. That eel is oilier and meatier but has none of the delicateness of this. I got this for my mom and she loved it. She's from Hamamatsu, Japan, which is known for eel. It's expensive as heck, but for her it was a treat.

We loved it
I've never had authentic roasted eel so I thought it was great. Delicious flavor, fantastic idea under the broiler. Great texture. I split one fillet with my sister and we added rice and veggies and it was a filling meal but we're both pretty light eaters.

Way too expensive
This will not even fill up a 100 pound woman like my friend that I served it to. This will only fill the belly of a 8 year old at best. It doesnt taste that incredible, its just eel smothered in soy sauce and a tiny bit of dashiI can't believe this is so pricey for what is just one fillet of standard eel

Best unagi for online shopping
I’m Japanese and also my wife has lived in Japan for over 15 years and we have enjoyed unagi over there many times, so we know what unagi is. Obviously it is the best if you can eat unagi right from the bincho charcoal grill in Japan, but for unagi like this, this is absolutely worth the price! We read some reviews that say the unagi is too small, but bigger unagi tastes not so good. This unagi has right amount of fat, and meat is tender. The sauce is not too salty nor sweet. Just the right amount of sweetness and saltiness. This is not cheap at all, but well worth for any special occasion.
