Excellent product, easy to understand instructions included,I live 30 miles away from the nearest airport and picking up conversations from there or aircraft passing over, I can't understand some of the poor reviews I have read

Poor unit, very hard to configure, company tries to upsell if you have problems.
Ordered this for my father (age 94 worked for BA for 34 years and loves anything to do with aircraft) ) He had one a few years ago but lost it…Im quite technical minded and tried to connect, hoping to save the channels for him but found it too difficult to connect. I contacted company direct and was told they had a lot of returns, I was also offered to buy a better aerial as the one with the unit is not good enough…why do they sell it then? Or I could purchase unit double the price… I returned the unit in perfect condition and had £15.99 deducted! I felt this was extremely high and sent an email requesting a breakdown of the cost, but they have not had the decency to reply.

Does what it says with limitations
On the whole it does what it says however there are some functional limitationsThe bands outlined as set to demodulate the signal associated with the selected band, ie vhf is fm only. This cannot be changed.There is no rotary volume control and changing volume requires several buttons to be pressed.The antenna supplied is limited and the first thing I did to improve the signal quality is to change this. Both a better bnc flexible antenna or a small external bnc dipole makes a huge difference.Storing frequencies is a little frustrating however ok once it is done a couple of times.There are banks and favourite slots, which are easily scanned.It has no frills however other than this, it works fine especially for the cost.

Compact Scanner
The Uniden EZI-33XLT+ Plus Portable Aviation Radio Scanner is more compact that my last scanner and performs well. I am happy to recommend the supplier and product. It arrived within the time scale and well packaged and undamaged.
