Absolutely stellar quality. I am super impressed by this handle. I use scalpel blades in my woodworking and other various hobbies. They are perfect for marking joinery etc.I usually buy cheap blades here on Amazon and they come with handles, but they are junk compared to this beauty. I can't stress enough how much better this handle is compared to all others I have tried with scalpel blades.I would absolutely recommend these to anyone, and will be buying more for myself as well!

This is a top quality scalpel handle made in Sheffield, England. Sheffield has been a knife making center in England since the 14th century, long before there was a Great Britain or United Kingdom, and apparently the knife factories there didn't feel like changing their name. This is a size 4 handle for the larger scalpel blades, numbers 18 and higher.

Works great

... the Swann-Morton handles are just very well finished, with the distinctive bevels, and are still the most comfortable to hold. Higher price is more than worth it for me because I have more control and less fatigue, and scalpels usually being used for precision work, this is critical.

Blade seats in tightly and seems well balanced for the price. I bought it for my jump kit.

The product works well for blades that fit a #4 handle. Has a good weight to the handle for good handling too. No complaints after a full day of dissection in the gross lab.

I will only use these from now on. I'm a hobbiest, and have tried the cheap $3 units, these hold the blade solid and firm. worth double the price in my opinion.
