AMAZING!
So, I had been searching high and low for a flat iron that heats above 450 and none of the ones in stores exceeded 455 degrees. This flat iron made my hair so straight with one pass, max two!I mean bone straight!A must buy!!!!Lowest setting is 160 out to 500There is only a dial to turn the heat settings so you really don’t know the temperature you’re setting it to between those settings so use your best judgment. But outside of that, the flat iron worked great and has a rugged heavy duty appearance!Buy buy buy!!!!

My favorite flat iron!
Im a hairdresser and this iron used to sell for over $100 20 years ago. It’s now such a great price that I like to have a couple of them on hand. Easy grip, high heat you can adjust, long cord, perfect size and now great colors. I use a heat protective glove as I use it on its highest heat, it will burn your hand. Ive dropped these and like I said, use it all day long and not ever had any troubles.

Natural Hair Approved
Used it for my daughters silk press on picture day And it gave excellent results. Her natural curly puffs reverted back with no damage afterwards.

Love it, but it catches a little!
I love this straightener. My GHD went out on me and I didn't want to spend money on something super pricey, but this worked out great and was suggested by my coworker. It does have some weight to it compared to your expensive straighteners. And I also like to curl my hair with the straightener and it can tend to get caught in the plates so it kind of can rip at your hair, but I have super thick hair so not an issue for me personally.

Highly recommend for price and value compared to other brands
My hair takes a really long time to straighten. This is the fastest straightener I have used so far. I know they have a lot of new ones coming out, which i did buy one from the mall, but honestly I don't see any difference in damage or usefulness. I would stick to this one for the price difference, even after getting a great deal on the new one. If I had to buy another, I'd buy this one.I have curly/ wavy/ frizzy hair and this controls the frizzy amazingly. Works fast, heats VERY fast** (be careful not to burn whatever you put it on! I once left mine on on carpet on top of the bag it came in and dyed my carpet pink.. oops. I forgot it though so it was hours. Never had an issue doing it while using it.)My hair is dry and impossible to tame with most straighteners. I now mostly leave it curly to avoid damage but if I were to straighten it again, I use this straightener because I feel it does less damage than others due to only having to use it one time over each area of hair vs several with other brands. I don't recommend using it on wet hair though. It steams, burns your head, and kinda feels like it's frying your hair... plus makes it frizzy and causes you to go over it several times vs once if it's dry. If you do use it wet, shake it gently as you go over the part next to your head to avoid getting burnt.

Best straightener ever
I bought a Herstyler at one of the booths at the mall years ago and the chord gave up on me after years. I was skeptical at first to buy it on Amazon, but I’m so glad I did. I love to curl and straighten my hair using this straighter. It gets hot really fast and gives me the shiniest finish.

I just bought my 2nd, I will never use another brand!
Five years ago around Christmas, I was walking through the mall and found one of those kiosks selling HerStylers. I purchased my original Seasons-5 HerStyler for OVER $100. Frankly, it's way better than a Chi and I figured it was well worth the price. A year ago, one of the side caps popped off and I lost the screw pin that holds the two pieces together (not saying it was bad quality, I'm a bit rough on my stuff, so 4 years of perfect use was good enough for me). Expecting to have to pay another whopping fee, I simply took craft wire and strung it through wiring the two back together. Talk about a Hazard. I took it back to the booth and was told by the guido working at the time that without a receipt (really, 5 years later I'm supposed to STILL have that?) they couldn't do anything, but was willing to sell me a new one for $90... WTF? Needless to say, this particular item is two years newer (Seasons-7) gets 10 degrees hotter, is brand new, and was a whole $100 cheaper than the mall! A 3-day shipping wait was well worth the money I saved. I really feel like Chi just makes their items "pretty & shiny" and charge out the @ss for their name, while this product is actual, good quality that will LAST! I'm sure I would still have my 1st one had I taken better care of it. I am absolutely in LOVE with this flat iron! <3-------------------UPDATE---------------------It has only been a little over a month, and one of the plastic plugs that cover the screws already fell out, which means the others are soon to be next. Also, a corner of one of the plates CRACKED, and then fell completely off! FELL OFF! Meaning, there is a gaoing hole in the end, perfect for snagging, pulling on, and BREAKING my hair. Joy.
