The content is top notch. The paper quality sucks tho.
The content of the book is great. Susan Sontag provides a critical analysis on photography as a form of art. The book goes on to describe the ethical implications of photography and how it can influence, motivate and even demoralize people. Great book, overall. A must read for someone who has an interest in this art form and wants to see it from a whole new perspective. 5/5 for the content. What I didn't like about this book was the paper quality of the cover and the inner pages. It looks like an old book made of cheap material that will be easily damaged if not handled properly. The pages are also yellowish making it look like a pre-owned book. These essays are usually easily available for free online. Penguin should know that people buy a paperback as they are interested in collecting these books and keeping em in their shelves. (At least that's why I buy them.) Hence these books much be of good quality and be able to withstand the test of time. Very disappointed with the poor condition of the book.

Create Review : On Photography (Penguin Modern Classics)
Susan Sontag's groundbreaking critique of photography asks forceful questions about the moral and aesthetic issues surrounding this art form. Photographs are everywhere, and the 'insatiability of the photographing eye' has profoundly altered our relationship with the world
