Good. But hard to maintain

I had the previous version of this and these humidifiers have been a game changer with my kids and their cols and night time coughs.This updated version improves on the older one in almost every way. The new one is smaller and has a redesigned water tank which makes it easier to clean, less place for mould to gather and has a directable steam outlet at the top so you can angle which way it pumps out.This new unit is quiet and features two trays for the scent pads should you want to use two. Steam output is adjustable and it has a warning light/beep to remind you to clean it.Cleaning is by way of diluted bleach int he tank but I've used milton tablets to great success. Cleaning is vital or mould and minerals will start to appear and that becomes a health risk. Whilst this new unit is easier to clean it still needs cleaning every 2-3 days. When finished take time to steriliser and properly dry the tank before storing it away.This, and indeed the previous unit have bene game changers for us. Literally stopped our 3 year olds night cough and she and us were happier and rested as a result.

I was recommended this to aid my sons constant issue with congestion. It is easy to set up and the scent is pleasant. My main concern is how quickly it goes mouldy. The water is changed in the tank daily. The refil pads can work out expensive as they don't last long.

I bought the humidifier as my little one was coughing a lot at night, I was advised to get a humidifier and this one works a treat and is definitely good value for money. The cool mist means that I also don’t have to worry about burns. My little one slept so much better the first night of using it. Would 100% recommend

This is the fourth humidifier I have had, and nothing beats them for getting through the night with a cough (adults and kids). This one works really well, as it can chuck out a lot of vapour if needed, and can be adjusted to suit. When the thing started beeping after a couple of days, and I read the instructions, to find that this is the reminder that it needs to be cleaned, I was surprised to see that this meant running 500ml of vinegar through it every three days! In spite of a working knowledge of legionella, and other water-borne nasties, I sneered at this, and reset it a couple of times without cleaning. When I did take the tank out and look underneath, I was amazed at the pea soup and snot that I found, and now understand why they need to cover their backs by making the user confirm that they are ignoring the instruction. I don't know what it is about this one that makes it so bad (maybe the amount of energy used to create that much vapour warms the water?) but I've not seen this in ones that I've had from other makes.

Suffering from a very chesty cough and wanted something a bit easier to manage other than rubbing Vicks onto my chest. This humidifier takes two menthol pads (if you wish to use them) and even when only set half way it emits a lovely vapour into the room. I use especially in my bedroom 4 hours before I go to bed to fill the room and then leave on for a couple whilst asleep. Its very quiet, so not disturbing. I noticed some review said they didnt get the enclosed pads and I thought I hadnt at first, but then found them tucked inbetween the pages of the instruction booklet. Highly recommend.

This works well but impossible to clean so after 18 months I have thrown it away

Easing to use, has helped during the nights with the kids. Overall happy. No complaints.
