Very pleased with this iron. Good weight not too heavy. This is my second purchase of a Braun iron and this one is a lot better. Easy to use for left hand or right hand as wire moves from side to side. The wire could be a bit longer but otherwise a great iron.

This is the up to date version of my previous iron. It's a bit lighter & I like the bigger water tank. I found that it glides well (so did the previous version so no improvement here despite all the claims of the new sole) & it irons very well on the lower of the 2 steam settings, I didn't find any need to move to the higher one on my pretty ordinary pile of ironing. BUT, Braun, why on earth have you decideded to economise on the cord??? It's ridiculously short, to get it into perspective, my board is 145cm long, so not the longest version you can get & to be able to iron at the 'pointy' end the iron rest end needs to be an absolute maximum of 3 feet away from the socket!!! I've never had an iron with such a short cord. Fortunately it can be resolved by using an extension but it's not a cheap one & it's disappointing as it spoils unnecessarily a good iron, so much so that I nearly gave it only 3 stars.

This iron is the best I have ever bought. For a start, it is heavier than others I have use and feels very substantial. I have been using it for a while now and it has never spat water drops when using on steam setting. It does a good job.
