Chinese Sandalwood Soap 2.65oz - 12/case

This is one of the better soap bars out there. Not only is the price very cheap, it outperforms all other bar soap and doesn't give me any bad reactions like some of the other "Natural" soap bars do. This soap bar is a little drying, so I have to learn how to not over use the soap. Other than that, it smells great and leaves your skin feeling clean. No residue, no itchiness, to red bumps, nothing! Matter of fact, this soap actually helped in the healing process. The back of my hand had a annoying itchy red bumps about 3 inches in length. While other natural soap bars seems to aggravate it and make it worst, this sandalwood soap actually reduces the itchiness and the swelling almost instantly. (Applying Organic Coconut oil after using this soap on the area helps a lot!). Since this soap is very drying. I've tried many soap. From Kissmyface which gave me red itchy bumps all over my body, to the expensive shea butter soap / coconut bar soap etc. etc. I always go back to this Bee & Flower Soap. It just works and it helps heal my eczema. I had a eczema breakout all over my legs and thighs. It had horrible. I've tried all types of healing balm and medications. None worked perfectly. Use this soap along with the healing balm / coconut oil, and magically, it's working. The only thing I can think of that is causing my skin issue is Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap (Hemp / Eucalyptus) version. Every time I use this soap, the rash on the back of my hands starts breaking out. And gets worst at each use. So I stopped using that soap bar all together. *** Update: Both my ear with really itchy, red and small bumps. Tried using lotion, castor oil, jojoba oil, etc etc. Didn't really help. Washed me ears with this soap is it looks like it's starting to heal. Less itching, bumps are receding, and felling relieved.

Order was processed and delivered quickly. Years ago I worked in shop that sold imported soaps, and it carried this brand and was very popular. The packaging is beautiful, so I hate to tear it open. I like bee motifs, and I like sandalwood scent. It comes in a couple other scents, but I've not tried them. I'm old enough to remember other products that used to have extra paper wrap and seals, like old Lea and Perrins, and Angostora Bitters, among others, so this has a nostalgic Victorian quality for me-not that I'm so old, but my mum had those bottles from her grandmother. The soap is basic, it is molded with a little pattern, it lathers nicely in hard water. The fragrance seems strong at first, but it dissipates so it is not obnoxious. The soap itself seems aged, which to me is good. Aged soap has less water so it lathers well and lasts longer. These are small personal sized bars. Such a nice little extra in a gift bag. As far as 'exotic' soaps go, this has a great price, works well and looks lovely.

This Bee and Flower soaps smell WONDERFUL! I buy the Rose scent also, but do not care for the Jasmine or Ginseng. The soaps are hard-milled (not puffed up with air) which makes them last a little longer and though they are not moisturizing, they do not seem to dry out my skin like other soaps can. I buy an entire box with 12 bars and store some of them in my clothes drawers to make them smell soooo good. My two adult children remember the smell of their childhoods from these soaps. Each bar is individually wrapped in a beautiful little package and I have even given them as gifts. If you want a sensory bath that smells luxurious, try this soap. UPDATE: 5/28/21 NOT THE SAME SOAP AT ALL!!! It's unfortunate, but after 35 years of buying this soap, strictly for the wonderful sandalwood scent, I wil no longer purchase it and this last box is going back. Quality control is gone. Don't know what they did to the formula, but it is nothing at all like the original. My nose won't lie to me on this. But the color of the soap is actually different and has a blase, nothing special smell. Such a shame. Many lovely memories associated with the original scent.

Some reviewers felt that the fragrance is not 100% consistent. At first, one of my bars smelled a little different, but it started smelling like sandalwood as I used it more. I absolutely love the fragrance! The soap is slightly drying to my skin. You can use an unscented or sandalwood lotion. Fabulous price! I keep the extras next to my bed, so I can smell them when I'm relaxing.

I must have needed a really fragrant soap I was after the vinegar soaps but require scented. This is the kind I tried once in Orlando and if you are checking out reviews and you want a scent that is strong that is why I am directing to this. Irish spring and Dove are alright but I really wanted my scent to be strong and real clean. Most of the reviews are positive and I am not lying when I tell that this is very high quality. I am so pleased. There is high quality product... when my Zest runs out now I will have this to use and any of my other roommates or relatives may try it. I am happy I could find this here. This is a thrillingly good soap I have fallen in love with the fragrance. I love to get a really good clean shower and feel like I am so clean and have a nice glow on my skin. Perfect really. My kid from my egg donation may try this. I am satisfied and will recommend it. Andrea Somers

UPDATE: The last time I ordered this soap in 2021, half the bars had such high pH my skin felt like it was burning. I think something must have happened to Flower & Bee during the pandemic, because reviews in every marketplace have mentioned this, and I've no longer been able to find this soap in the brick and mortar outlets that used to carry them. I hope they get it figured out soon. *** I've been using this soap since I was a little girl, and my grandmother, who grew up in China, used this soap all her life from the time she was a little girl. It's high quality soap, and I'm so glad it's still available. The packaging hasn't changed in at least 40 years. The way it smells and looks is so wonderfully nostalgic.

Great soap, we first came across it in Indonesia on holiday. Now Amazon have it - hurrah! Great fragrance, super lather…
