Excellent hunting/trail pack.
If you're looking for a high quality pack that's comfortable, reasonably priced, and can accommodate almost any hiking/hunting needs, this may be the one for you. I've had this pack for nearly a year now. It's been on countless hunts, and it has never let me down once. The stitching is extremely sturdy as are the zippers and the overall construction. It has 2 cross straps in the front, one across the chest and the other across the waist, and wearing these actually makes the pack seem lighter, even with a full load. You can also strap your rifle to the back, which is extremely useful when scaling a steep hill or climbing up a tree or into a stand. Also comes with a full rain cover. Has a large storage compartment to hold game or gear, and also a smaller one to hold your keys and wallet while you're out on the trail. You can also strap gear to the outside of the pack. As of now I have absolutely no complaints, and would highly recommend this pack.

Perfect Size for Full Day and Overnight
This has become my new pack for hiking upwards of 10 miles in and out of the mountains. I like to organize my own things into stuff sacks and liked the spacious main area in which I had a small first aid kit, jacket, pullover, food items, rain pants, 1.5L of water in a bladder, a 1 person alpine bivy tent and a pair of binoculars in a soft case. In the smaller compartment I had my backup knife, 550 cord, GPS, Gloves and extra hat. On the rear, the rifle holder was used to strap down a 3 lb. tripod which worked flawlessly for getting set up for glassing very quickly. Outside lateral pockets held other small items. I attached two straps to the bottom rear MOLLE attachment points to hold a 15 degree down sleeping bag in a compression sack. The back gun attachment strap was where this bag really shined for holding the tripod or for long treks, a rifle while the tripod sat in one of the side pockets strapped down. Best hunting bag I have owned. I compared to another one costing 5 times the price and this one was better.

Alps OutdoorZ Hits the Mark
I really can't believe how well-made this bag is, especially for the price. A lot of though has gone into materials to make this bag quiet, from the zippers to the material itself and it's all high quality. If you're familiar with the junk that passes for hunting-specific gear and/or the stratosphere where Kifaru and M.R. reside, you'll be pleased that someone has managed to nail it despite China construction. I can definitely say this won't be my last piece of Alps OutdoorZ gear. If I were on my own for two weeks in the wilderness on the mega-thousand-dollar hunt of a- ifetime, maybe I bone up for Mystery Ranch, etc. but the only thing that makes me think this bag wouldn't be up for the task is the price. I just beat the heck out of it on an elk hunt in Colorado and it performed flawlessly. The only thing I'd criticize is the sternum strap. It's a little on the short side at its largest adjustment. I'm 44.5 at the pecs and with a wicking layer under a Dry-Plus parka (soft-shell type thickness) I was at the end of the webbing. I imagine things did and will continue to stretch a little. My buddy had just purchased the Alps external frame pack and it exhibited the same high quality.

Great Bag
School bag size but convenient size . Mostly just toss in type with a few tiny item pockets . Like keys and such .. nice camo nice rain cover … Straps are nice to but chest strap gets annoying but helps …

Great pack, and very affordable. Perfect whitetail pack.
It's a perfect hunting pack for little day trips, or maybe even an over-nighter if you have the right gear. It's light, low profile, and can carry my bow with ease. Enough straps on the outside for warm-weather layering (parka + bib), extra MOLLE webbing for any other gear you could need. It's shooting way above it's price-range. Great for early season up until late-season. I would have easily paid $100 for this pack. I will be upgrading from a climber to a saddle next season, and I'm assuming it will have more than enough room for my saddle and climbing method (Wild Edge Steps). Waist belt might not be the most supportive, but it's not really needed cause my pack will weigh no more than 20lbs.

Bag is good outside strap not so much
Two deer seasons on it and it's held up reasonably well. I like the bag. Downfalls are the straps on the front with the stretchy material rips pretty easily. Both sides of the stretchy material are gone, holes all in it.

Very Nice!!
We purchased this for my father-in-law for Christmas and he absolutely loved it. I am an avid hunter as well and have had multiple backpacks (from large and bulky to very small). I inspected it before we wrapped it and I was impressed. The quality seems good and it seems to have a lot of place to store stuff to keep it organized. It is not gigantic, but would definitely be big enough to load up and take in the woods to pull an "all-dayer" (room for hat, gloves, calls, a couple sandwhiches, drinks, etc.).

Best hunting pack that I’ve owned.
The sling for the rifle makes hiking to the deer stand a lot easier. Right amount of pockets and straps. I normally am tough on my bags and they last about a season or two. This bag seems a lot more durable and should last a lot longer.
