Norpro Stainless Steel Mini Meat Baller - 1.25-Inch

The quality of the meat baller as far its steel is concerned is fine. It seems as if it will last for years. I don't like large meat balls - so I like the size of the meat baller as well. This is a good size for cake pops as well. However, it is not too comfortable to hold the meat baller. (I wish the handles were either padded or larger with a more rounded finish on the inside ). It could be a problem if you are making a large batch. Also, the meat mix tends to stick to the halves. (It could be overcome to an extent by oiling them.) Overall, I end up having to shape them again as the prodding and pushing (to get everything out) tends to misshapen the balls a bit. Still, you will have even sized meat balls in the end. So think of this more as a portioning tool rather than a 'scoop and make' one.
