Fuel Gas Tank Level Gauge Meter for Yamaha Big Bear 400 Grizzly 600 Kodiak 400 YFM400 YFM600 (OEM# 4SH-24260-11-00 4SH-24261-00-00)

I am not convinced this is an official Yamaha part but it works and fits perfectly on my 1997 Yamaha Kodiak 400. I read other reviews that stated the gauge didnt really work all that well with lower fuel levels. As a result I took it out of the box and examined it closely. The float was all the way at the bottom (empty position). I turned the gauge upside down and the float didn’t move all that well or far. I gently slid the float up and down a few times and it freed it right up. Maybe they put something on the float to keep it from moving and getting damaged during shipping? Either way it was a cinch to install and the gauge accuracy is absolutely spot on. Now the only question is how long will it hold up? Only time will tell but even if it only lasts a few years its worth it. What else can you do to your atv for $15 these days? Definitely recommend.

Works perfect and fits awesome

This was easy to install, and a great replacement for the original fuel gauge that was so scratched/frosted over that we couldn't read it. I'm impressed a 20+ year old ATV even had this available for purchase still.

Highly do not recommend, thought I'd save some money over getting an OEM part. It looked and worked good for the first few months. However after a few months the fuel caused the lense to fog over and become unusable. See picture, the plastic used on this part is obviously not meant to be used around gasoline.

While it does show a decent approximation of fuel the gauge face has become cloudy making it difficuly to read.It fit fine but the chrome ring never seated properly.
