UPDATE: Crack below the spout and down the side of the pot. Leaking already and the fissures are barely visible. Requesting a refund.Original review:I just received the pot, washed and preheated the pot. Really excited to use it but after adding hot water to my teabags, the pot is making some loud and scary sounding crack noises. They subsided after a few minutes, however after looking again at the reviews, I fear I may have a teapot that will last me no more than a week... I hope it holds out. If my review drops from 5 stars to 1, then it cracked in the end. That said, it's beautiful and may just be "breaking itself in". (Check out that optimism!)

The quality of this lovely teapot is so much better than expected. It looked beautiful in the photos but it is even better in real life. Definitely a premium item, the kind you'd expect in a display unit and honestly the best teapot we have ever owned. Love that it is hand made. Love the brand. Will be looking at the other products. Very happy with my purchase.

Lovely item

I was so disappointed as I absolutely loved the teapot when it arrived. We use it once a day in the evening for a herbal infusion and, one morning, I found dirty water under the pot, looked at it, couldn't see anything and thought hubby had spilled when pouring. A couple of days later - same problem - discovered 3 cracks running up from the base to around half way up, I only discovered them as they stained the dark colour of the infusion as they are very fine, but enough for the content to leak out. Can't use it any more, so upset. The lid doesn't fit at all either but that wouldn't have bothered us.
