Yes but paint does peel after some time

Can you paint over this product

Yes I have painted over it and the paint does stick. However I painted over it on my lawn mower 2 years ago and I have noticed moisture getting in between the bed liner and the paint causing the paint to peel

How long before it can get wet because i have nowhere but outside to use it?

If I remember right the directions on the can say 48 hours I believe but I normally just wait 24 hours and never had a problem.
