MYTHICAL Original Pomade - Medium Hold, Water Based Hair Product with Matte Finish for Men and Women - 3.4 oz

Been using this for about four years now. I've gone through probably a couple dozen of these vats at this point. The product hasn't changed, although it did drop from 4.0 oz to 3.4 oz recently for the same price. Although it stinks they made the product smaller, at least I can take it on flights without having to put globs of it in other containers (although I'd still have more product and go back to the old size).Great product with a light, pleasant smell. Has little to no shine in it, allowing your natural sheen to come through. I apply it with damp, combed hair and let it dry over night. In the morning, I comb it out, and it looks as though I blow dried it without having to take more than 30 seconds to style my hair in the morning. The hold on this is actually great. You can put more on, and the hold is a little stronger, or you can hold back and have more free flowing hair. The product comes straight out with water.I've tried other products, but I've always come back to this one. I'll continue to get it even with the recent reduction in the amount that you get.

This product was great for my hair. I personally would wet style, and it would always hold well, slightly shinier finish. Dry styling is also great, it holds my hair up quite nicely at 1.5 inches long. Hold is very natural, and adds texture. Smells decent, not too strong. It's not sticky, and honestly does really well for the price. It lasts me all day, and doesn't disintegrate like some other hair products I have used. When it's time to wash up, add a little water, and it will melt. Shampoo takes it out of my hair, easy peasy.

A very nice pomade to use. I bought this item mostly for some practical Rhett and Link merch. I figured it was a good way to support the channel and I would have something to show my appreciation as well as my mythical coffee mug, which I also love. I was impressed with the actual performance of the pomade. I honestly can say this is the best pomade for my purposes I have come across. Before this, I was using American Crew Grooming Cream. The first thing I will note is that this container holds 4 oz, which is an additional 0.5 oz compared to the American Crew. I personally prefer the packaging and feel that I get more use for a similar and possibly cheaper price. I enjoy the consistency, which is similar to a hand lotion or cream, making it easy to apply evenly throughout even dry hair, though I usually apply it after I take a shower and quickly dry my hair. Thicker pomades seem to make my hair crusty like hair gel will, and I tend to need to reapply to get an even spread. Very little pomade is actually needed unless you are trying to achieve a greaser-esque shine. The smell doesn't dominate, but is pleasant. A quick rinse does remove a lot and will remove the stickiness from your hands, but shampoo is necessary to remove all of the product. Wetting your hands will also help to style your hair after application. Overall, this is probably my pomade of choice from here on out. Will definitely buy again, not only because of my appreciation for the channel, but for the product as well. Certainly happy to be one of the first to buy it.

I'm a middle-aged male and I've been using a competing product for about a year. Decided I'd try this just on a whim, because I like Link's Peanut Butter and Peppermint Lip Balm, and this was recommended to me. I like it! I normally use a "paste" product, which is more like a "cadbury creme filling" sort of texture, but the Mythical Pomade is more of a "whipped cream" texture. If you know what those jars of Noxzema face wash are like, it's basically the same. Thusly, one star deducted because although you get about twice as much as any other similar pomade, you have to use about twice as much. so not much of a "deal." As far as performance, once again, I like it. I have medium-thick, medium brown hair. This is described as a medium hold, but I put it more toward the "strong hold" end of the spectrum. I find it best to put on your hair not wet, but a little more than damp. Putting it on dry hair will just frustrate you. Once it's in there, getting a come through it (at least on my head) was a bit difficult! It holds! It really has not much of a scent, which I also like. The best part, NO CLUMPING! AMAZING! It does have a "different" feel than most other products. When you put it in your hair, you get a gritty/sticky feeling, but not a negative, just requires a bit of an adjustment. Performance remained great throughout the day, and it's become my favourite hair styling product. I hope it continues to remain available in this formulation.

Incredible product! The scent is a wonderful woodsy orange spice that I could huff 24/7. The hold is strong, but not as strong as the Crew Fibre pomade I was using before. I get similar results by using just a bit more. Hair style is held in semi-fauxhawk (I made a my hair goes up decision and I’m sticking to it) without stiff or gelled looking hairs. In fact, my hair looks like there is less product in it and feels softer after styling compared to other pomades. I hope this remains in production with no change for years to come. 10 out of 10, would recommend and stockpile.PLEASE provide more Mythical products with this scent. I hoped Mythical No. 9 would smell like this, but was disappointed. Cologne and lotion with the pomade’s exact smell would be total fragrance perfection. Please!?
