Very large pot at a good price
Had a friend give me a turkey which ended up being 35lbs. This was the largest fryer I could find and it worked out great! I would say it’s not worth buying unless you have plan on frying large birds regularly bc it requires a lot of oil as it’s diameter is very large. All in all it was exactly what I needed.

Perfect size and delivered as described.
I needed a larger pot for frying turkeys. I typically fry 8-12 over Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Due to danger in frying turkeys larger than about 13-14 pounds in my 30qt pot and oil splash I had to fry more birds for large gatherings. With this 42qt pot my first fry was a 15 and a 16 # birds. Took a little over 4 gallons of oil but no splash. I would not fry a bird larger than 18# just to be safe. Pot is advertised for up to 25# and it looks like it would fix but not willing to take the added risk. All the added items was a nice touch.

Perfect pots
I bought two of these for processing ducks and turkeys. I have a duck, turkey chicken farm and regularly process birds for food. I use one for heating up hot soapy water and one for heating up water with duck wax. I use a gas camping stove top under the pots and these pots are holding up wonderfully! They clean easily and are thick and good material. No issues here!

Not a bad bundle
Bought this for my first deep fried turkey. The base was easy to set up but can be difficult if you lack assembly know how. The pot came warped and in oval shape. The metal was insanely thin and flexible although the rivers for the handle were very sturdy it kind of scares me how thin this pot is. The leather glove was nice and of good quality. Thermometer needed adjustment but that’s a given on analog thermometers. I used a digital thermometer as a backup and there was only a 3° difference which isn’t bad. The turkey stand and hook were both very nice and will probably hold up for years to come.

Well Made Turkey Fryer
I assumed the duty of cooking our family's Thanksgiving turkey this year and knew right away I wanted to do a fried turkey. I bought this based on other reviews and it definitely got the job done well. I did three test runs with 15-17 pound turkeys, all of which turned out great, and our Thanksgiving turkeys (we ended up doing 2 turkeys that day) were delicious as well. Stuff to know:-This thing is BIG. It took 5-6 gallons of oil (I used peanut oil) to fully submerge each turkey because of how wide this fryer is. That's two 3-gallon jugs, each of which runs about $30. So you'll spend $60 on oil alone. If you're planning on frying smaller turkeys, you probably don't need one this big.-Allow plenty of time for the oil to heat up. 6 gallons is a lot of liquid. It took a good 35 minutes to get the oil up to temperature (325-350 F) before I could put the turkey in. Allow yourself some extra time at the beginning of the cook to heat the oil so that your guests aren't waiting around for the turkey to be done. If it gets done a bit early, you can just rest the turkey a bit longer after it's done and it will stay hot internally and be that much easier to carve up.-Easy to clean: warm water, soap, a sponge, and some elbow grease were all it took to clean the fryer afterwards. I thought I'd spend a lot of effort scraping the residue but it wasn't bad at all.-The thermometer was a bit off, it would jump between 275 - 350 sometimes in seconds, which makes me think I got a faulty one. These aren't expensive though so I just picked up a new one at my local hardware store.

Plenty of room for big birds
I debated on getting the 30qt or 42qt and I'm glad I got the 42. I will be frying a turkey for Thanksgiving 20-24lbs don't know the weight yet until I pick it from whole foods. I did a test run with 2 whole chickens and peanut oil, they came out great. The pot and all the accessories I used when frying cleaned up very well with just soap and warm water. So far so good, I would recommend this product

Great Fryer, Great Price!!!
First time ever frying a turkey for Thanksgiving and this pot, along with the recommended burner worked out great. Everything you need comes with the kit. Spoke with several friends who had to buy the glove and thermometer separately, with other fryers.Highly recommended.

excellent Product
We did a 14 pound bird in this pot. Very little temperature drop when lowered the bird into the oil and the recovery time to get back to temp. was quick.Very happy with this product. Would like the aluminum to be a bit thicker but that's a personal 'thing'.Would highly recommend this product.
