EXCELLENT product! Innovative, compact, convenient - Just get one!
I rarely write reviews, but I just have to share my positive experience with this product.I have an extremely picky/stubborn husband. He's getting to the age where he won't admit that he can't read fine print - which means, I, as the wife suffer through many nights out of reading out loud items printed on the menu and dealing with "hey, how much does the check say?" "what does that say here?" The night I ordered this product was the last straw. My father and my husband BOTH forgot their reading glasses (again). So I'm sitting at a nice restaurant and I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN SEE/READ THE MENU!! That was it. I went on Amazon to search for portable/lightweight/compact reading glasses and I stumbled upon this WONDERFUL product. It's truly lightweight, thin enough that it doesn't bother him when he has this on his keychain and in his pocket pants. The glasses fold out without an issue, he places them on the bridge of his nose and IT STAYS IN PLACE. I got him the 2.50 strength (same as the other reading glasses he owns) and he said it was perfect. Putting the glasses back into the keychain compartment was also VERY easy.We went to dinner last night and when we got the check, husband popped out his ThinOptics reading glasses off of his keychain and a couple next to us immediately asked us where he got that. LOL We showed him the case and the glasses, showed him how they come out, how you put it back and the husband was already on his smartphone to order one.Absolutely a delightful product. High quality, convenient and no more of me reading the menu out loud going "Okay, starting from the Appetizer section....." Just get one, or two or three. You won't regret it. I'm planning to order a few more for my friends as gifts.

great concept
These are pretty cool, especially if you tend to loose your glasses. They are great reading glasses, stay on your face, pretty well made. You can just attach right to your key chain no problem for easy carrying. reading with them is a breeze and they aren't really thick. They haven't scratched yet so thats good. Glad I found them, would suggest

Excellent product. I've purchased sets for my family and friends!
These "readers" are just fantastic. Although they are very thin, they magnify the image without distortion. And, they fold up easily and fit perfectly in the very small case!

UPDATE: New nose piece and ThinOptics is sending replacement glasses
UPDATE: After this pair broke, I ended up buying the ThinOptics that come with the Universal Pod. Those glasses are different: the part that holds on to your nose is no longer the metal strips, it is plastic that is now attached at the top and bottom of the strip. They also did not look like the original glasses that came with the Keychain Case: the lens frames are a uniform thickness, where it looks like the Keychain glasses had a slight taper which would help them overlap when they fold up. I was hoping the Universal Pod ones would fit into the Keychain Case, but because of the difference I did not want to try it and end up ruining the new glasses. It is now 1 year after I bought the Universal Pod ThinOptics and they are still intact. I still miss being able to wear them around my neck, so I contacted ThinOptics through their website to see if I could just buy the glasses without the Keychain Case. They said if I send a picture of the broken ones then they would send a replacement at no cost. Luckily, I did still have them lying around for some reason, and after receiving the picture ThinOptics immediately sent out new, replacement glasses for free, not even a charge for shipping.I am now changing my previous 2 star rating to 5 stars. Will update if there are problems with the new glasses.UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: I received the new replacements - they are the newer style and are exactly the same as the ones I have that came in the Universal Case with the plastic, attached at both ends nose-pieces. They also fit in the keychain case. I have them around my neck again and am a very happy customer :)----OLD REVIEW: I removed the keyring part, put a smaller ring on the case, and made a necklace with these. I also sanded off the logo. Because of that, they were incredibly convenient as a cool-looking necklace that I can wear when I leave the house.Other than that, the reviews are all true:- It takes some fiddling to get them to stay on your nose, but it is manageable. The best way is to bend them outwards and let them grab your nose - there were 2 places on my nose where they would stay on. They fall off if you wiggle your nose or sneeze.- The metal nose pieces broke off. The first one about a month after I bought them, the 2nd many months later. They are less comfortable and leave marks on your nose without them, but they are still usable.- They broke completely yesterday, the springy bridge part snapped into a few pieces.I did use them a lot while they lasted and now I'm deciding whether I want to replace them or just try something else. If they were cheaper I would just replace the glasses and still use with my case, but for $20 I might try something more comfortable and durable.

Smart idea
I was so excited to have these tiny glasses but they are very fragile so watch video to see how to put them in and out. I broke mine the very first time

Perfect for times when you didn't think you were going to need to read small print.
These really are as secure and stay on my face as others have said! They are very clear and easy to wear/see out of. I am clipping them on my key fob and will use them when I am out. They are not quite as amazing as transition readers or regular glasses - but that is not the purpose and so they do not lose a star!I will follow up with this if there are any issues - if there is not follow up - these ARE as great and convenient as I hope!

So handy!
I saw someone using these and had to get a pair. They are as useful and convenient as I imagined.Following cataract surgery my distance vision is exceptional, but I can't read a thing close up.These are easy to carry and quickly pull out when text is just a blur. They fit easily on a key chain without adding much bulk. I keep them with me always.I am told they scratch easily, but mine are still fine. They stay on your nose fairly well, but can fall off. The case is so convenient, but you need to be careful re-inserting them.Overall these are well worth having. The utility far outweighs the small inconveniences.
