How does amazon allow fraudulent knock-offs (ok, free market) but to then be misrepresented as oem??

I know BMW is looking into the problem and supposedly Amazon is, but I can't speak for them. If you ever buy a counterfeit item on Amazon that is misrepresented, you should complain to them. Our OEM BMW valve stem products have a higher price point, but they are made in USA and we source from BMW. If you buy a BMW branded item from Detailbest, it will ALWAYS be official BMW!

Are these black, or chrome? Pictures show two different versions.

The outside is chrome and the top is black

Does this interfere with the tpms on the 2018 m3?

I am not sure about that but they do not interfere with my 2010 750Li. From what I know the TPMS is in the rear of the wheel. The caps also have a rubber gasket inside to make a better seal.

Are these in OEM packaging?

No, mine were not. Shipped from China in non-BMW packaging. They were tricky to get screwed on without damaging the threads.

Does exactly what a tire cap should do - cover the valve stem and they do it perfectly well.

Tire caps - they thread on, stay on, and look good...not much more that you may need. They do what they're designed to do and thread on easy.
