Ein echt gutes Gerät. Leider ohne Router-Funktion. Man bekommt nur eine IP-Adresse und ist dann online. Man kann auch über den eingebauten WLAN-Hotspot online gehen. Aber ohne Firewall und nur für einen Benutzer. Um mit der ganzen Familie surfen zu können benötigt man noch einen (kleinen, billigen) Router. Sonst gibt es nichts zu meckern. Empfang und Datendurchsatz ist top.

Modem werkt goed en stabiel, maar routerfunctionaliteit valt tegen. Soms komt er vrijwel geen verkeer meer door heen, terwijl een ping gewoon snel is en de 4G verbinding prima is. In de router krijg je dan congestie en hij wordt dan super traag. Het probleem zit echt in het routergedeelte. Wil je echt stabiel internet, gebruik dan een eigen router en zet de Zyxel in IP-passthrough modus en laat die eigen router het WAN IP adres krijgen. Nadeel van die aanpak is extra kosten voor die router en een extra apparaat dat altijd aan staat.

Have been using one of these 4G/LTE units for a couple of years now as no FTTP available and useless connection over copper. Binned off the landline and using a business grade EE SIM can get download connection speeds of up to 300mb at times depending on contention etc. Designed for outdoor use with POE, have mine located internally with clear line of sight through a window to the nearest mast. A novice may find the set up a little tricky and a separate AP is required for Wi-Fi - the inbuilt Wi-fi designed for set up purposes only. Disabling IP Passthrough will allow a specific IP range to be used on the internal LAN. Tested a few 4G units prior to purchase and this gave the best results once set up. The uni-directional inbuilt antenna is very sensitive, though a free proprietary phone app is available for locating the best signal. Important to take a back up of the config once completed, as mine recently reverted to factory without warning. This particular unit was purchased for failover/redundancy as now at £149 - half the original price paid 2 yrs ago. so have a spare on the shelf. Would highly recommend.
