Science in Sport Beta Fuel Dual Source Energy Chews, Energy Bars, Lemon Flavour, 45g of Carbs, 60g Bar (6 Pack)

I used these in training and with beta fuel drinks for a 12 hour time trial. They taste pretty good, but they are so easy to eat, no choking down like some gels. Enough flavour to be "nice" but not so much that they are acidic and cause issues (for me). They are more of a firm jelly than a chew, easier to eat than say a Blok, with no residue or bits stuck in teeth like a gummie. In a jam you can bit and swallow but I took the time to enjoy mine.The nice thing is you can eat half, put the remainder in your pocket and then finish it later. For me these work really well as part of an 80g/carb per hour nutrition strategy, no stomach issues for me but do test and build up to higher levels of intake.If it was winter you could do these and as much water as you needed, for long or more intense stuff they can be used a good way to just fill in gaps in carb intake.I plan to use these again for competition, and they are worth the money if you get at a sensible price.

Really good energy bar easy to use over the liquid ones

Really liked these for energy during rides. Much prefer these in terms of texture to traditional energy bars, kind of like eating raw jelly (or bloc shots) and still have good levels of carbs.Not cheap so wouldn’t use on easy rides but great fuel when you need it

So difficult to swallow

I like then, and they are really easy to eat, but to be honest, they do smell like drain cleaner, so some type of fuel.

I tend to always use SiS and this is another excellent product from them.

Not too sugary is a plus. One negative is the packaging, hard to open then self tearing apart. Replace it for a race.
