I dont know for this Product, but please read the following excerpt it might give you some idea to your question. - Expiration Date / Shelf Life Ascorbic acid is given a shelf life of 3 years from date of manufacture. After 3 years, ascorbic acid is usually found to have lost about 1-2% of its potency through oxidiation. A loss of potency means it will take more ascorbic acid to obtain the same effect as ascorbic acid which still has 100% effectiveness. Some loss of potency may occur prior to the expiration date if the ascorbic acid is exposed to air or sunlight. Keeping ascorbic acid tightly sealed, with minimal air and out of sunlight helps maintain its potency.

Well, Duda Energy aka DudaDiesel (as in Bio Diesel) has an expired COA from China here: http://www.dudadiesel.com/msds/ascorbicCOA.pdf I don't want to say i know any certification of authenticity from China is fake or fraudulent, but Shijiazhuang China is the 14th most polluted (as in heavy metals etc.) city in a list made by CBS in 2017, of which Saudi Arabia, India, China were the majority of the list of those 30 cites, meaning the air in those cities has a very high level of heavy metals and VOCs etc. See: https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/the-most-polluted-cities-in-the-world-ranked/18/ And actually .02% of anything can kill you or possibly give you cancer as far as present-modern-day hazards, but seen in a wholelistic PoV, there is a very important thing to consider here: ascorbic acid readily absorbs heavy metals both ex vivo and in vivo, meaning it should remove more heavy metals than it carries in to your body... Clay powder is another example of the heavy metal issue people get concerned about, clay can have a mix of heavy metals, but it does not necessarily mean you'll get poisoned from clay, it depends on the mix, but don't take my word for this! Bottom line, Duda is buying, bagging, selling this product and to me it they're seem to be honestly showing you everything they know about what they're selling (few on Amazon will or do), and most if not all is coming from 3rd world industrial cities and re-packaged here or there at a very low cost, and to me Duda's prices seem fairly low in comparison, but i dream of a 1st world manufacturer at an affordable price too...
